That safety wire work on the oil fill cap looks very good. Personally, on things that have to be removed relatively often (oil fill caps, dip sticks, brake caliper bolts, axle bolts, etc) I like to use the clips, then run the safety wire to the clip. Then when it is time to remove them, just remove the clip and when finished you don't have to re-wire everything. (I know some of those items don't require safety wiring for STT, im just throwing the idea out)
Yep, like that. I normally put the clip through the fill cap or bolt or whatever (and have the wire directly on the bike). That way when I remove the clip from the cap/plug/bolt/whatever, it is free in case I need to put a open/box end wrench on it. And so I don't have to back out/spin something with the wire and clip hanging from it. But those clips make life easier for sure.
Yep, I got mine from STG along with some other things. I've never been much for "BLING" but they do look and work nicely. :thumb:
A belly pan minimizes the oil on the track, but wont prevent it from getting on your tire if it splatters backwards from the wind.....
I didnt look back there the first time, but after looking again, yep. That is going to get expensive.
Actually it's some kind of gasket prep they used because it does not come off without soaking it in brake cleaner and even then it's like glue when it rolls off in little round globs. I tried cleaning all of it off the front case but gave up because it was too much of a pain. Believe me, if you knew me you would know nothing I own leaks or it's fixed as soon as I see it! I'm too much of a perfectionist to let stuff like that go. :eeek:
Good.... Aprilia and Gaskets/Sealer dont have a good reputation.... Unfortuanatley I sold my SXV550 after a Kapow Situation... I am even Italian but had to go back to Japan because of the burn..... Those RSV4's are sweet....
Same here.....cams & pistons will help it stay closer to the BMW's on the straights for sure. :wheel:
