if your running in intermediate you want your tires to be ready outta the box but what i found out with just regular powers they have to warm a little also so either way your slacking a lap off the start... i have ran the power race even in cold temps and they seemed to be fine just a little less sticky for daily use but i do drive them on the road all the time

I'll add to that and say that the 2ct's are def. worth the extra money for trackdays over the reg. pp's.

    Soft or Medium Compound?

My first set of DOT race tires are Dunlop GP209 soft compound (awsome traction), they seem to be wearing rather fast. If I move up on the next set to medium (actually med/hard/med) compound will I still get the same traction after they warm up?

Also, when is a tire warmer necessary?

    Thanks,
