We have been working with Monticello Motorsports Park and they have been very sensitive to our requests. We are excited to announce that we have scheduled our first day there on Friday July 3rd. In order to get folks out to take a look at the track and enjoy a fun day on short notice Monticello has made it possible for us to charge only $125 for the day! Friday July 3rd is a Holiday for many, so come spend a day of with STT at Monticello Motorsports park in New York! register now at SPORTBIKETRACKTIME.com
Have any changes been made to the track? A month ago it was decided that it wasn't motorcycle friendly, and that some adjustments needed to be made. Any info would be great, cause I'm dying to try this track!
I asked pretty much the same question in the other announcement http://www.sttforum.com/sttforum/viewtopic.php?t=5710&highlight=
Awesome, thanks for pointing that out to me. I normally just check the 'STT Eastern' forums. I am FREAKIN PSYCHED!!!! I'm lucky enough to only be about 45 mins away from Monticello. I was definitely disappointed when it was deemed unsafe for motorcycles. But now that they've made some changes.....let's ride!! I'll def be there on July 3rd.
I think I'll be there with my buddy, we just need to talk to the welder tomorrow to make sure his bike is going to be ready in time.
Yup, already signed up. I think about 2-3 of my friends are also going. I'm hoping I can get my first camera set up on the bike to take some vids.
This is a golden opportunity to be the first Motorcycle Club to ride this track. personal I cant wait hope to see all the smart people at the track... I'm not being smart I'm just trying to say "when anyone goes to a new track be smart about your riding and don't ride over your head. and have a great day. Please to all the smart people who are attending this event please lets be clean like we were never there...
Hey- I was just talking with david about spectators. Monticello has very limited space for spectators and thier vehicles (very small paddock and no viewing areas) im sure if you plan on bringing a freind along that should not be a prolblem but if you show up and are not with a registered participant you may be turned away at the gate. I just wanted to get this out there right away. I am sure more clear details will be posted soon.
Hey Monte, were you part of the group that did the test runs a month or so ago? If so, how do you get to the racetrack? The address says 548 Broadway, but according to google maps, that's smack dab in the middle of the town. Is this off by Monticello Airport? The last thing I want to do is get lost the morning of. Thanks for any help.
Hey guys, new here on the forums and I signed up for the 7/3 day at Monticello. Does anyone know if there will be power available in the paddock? I called the track and spoke to a guy named Matt who said there is limited power and to talk with STT to see if they will be using all the outlets. I don't have a generator so if there is power that would be great, otherwise I will have to rent a generator or something I guess.
All groups full now! As for power I don't know about that, I will be calling the track today myself to get the low down on paddock details and gate times and all that good stuff. I'll let everyone know what I find.
So if anybody out there was as confused as I was about their address saying Broadway, here are the details of where the track is. If you look at any map (google, mapquest), it's where they show Monticello Airport to be. They converted the old airport to Monticello Motor Club. I believe it's on Cantrell Rd.
Dam, that filled up fast. Two of my friends missed the boat. I kept nagging them to sign up, and they kept on procrastinating. Oh well, atleast me and my other buddy are signed up.
I missed that. I went to the Visit Us section and saw 548 Broadway in the top right of the screen. I guess you have a better eye than I do jts5025. This is the second time you're pointing me in the right direction. I swear, I'm better at riding on the track than I am at finding stuff on the internet. I just wanted to explain the exact location if anybody out there was as clueless as I was.
I'm one of those ocd people when it come to track riding. I have binders of all to bring lists, tool lists, bike settings, track conditions, observations at each event, directions track maps..... I have issues but oh well.
