according to the misprinted card that came in the mail, sept 7th and oct 12th. but you never know with monte's bad typing skills.
Ouch! Ya.. I typed thayt card with boxing gloves on. Bummer is I caught it and sent a new file to the printer but the used the old file. We'll do Monticello on Sept 7(South) & 8(North) and again on Oct 12(South). The price won't be $125 we are losing money on this first one to get folks out to take a look at the facility but we'll have a reasonable rate.
Monte do you know any info on gate times, if we can set up the night before on the 2nd, and what the rule is on spectators. Having trouble getting responses from guys at monticello.
There was a comment about spectators yes, but looking for a little more detail. The question of setting up the night before has not been answered. I have left messages with dave and a gentleman from moticello concerning my questions but have no repsonses yet. Was just wondering if someone had more info than I do.
I was told by David there is no camping at the track, No camping near the gate. what time the gate will open im not sure. I hope this helps. Kevin
I knew about the no camping, just wondering if I can drop the bikes the night before? I left him an email with my specifics, so hopefully he will respond. Also have a contact at monticello, but we've been playing phone tag all week!
I am pretty sure you will not be able to enter the facility any earlier then july 3. Monticello is a private members only club.
we should pick a place where we all can get together in Monticello the night before. whats to do up there? kevin
Probably rich people things! If only I had money. I'm staying in the days inn in wurtsboro, 20 miles away. Side note: These are my questions to dave, and the responses from the man in Bold I would like to know if entry for setting up paddock is allowed the evening before, July 2nd? SORRY, NO. GATES OPEN AT 7 am. If so what are the times in which to do so? Also, what is the policy on spectators? We are asking that this event not have spectators since the paddock size is small. Myself and another rider will be bringing our motorcycles up in one truck and and 2-3 spectators in a seperate car, is this acceptable? We won't prevent your "crew" from coming, but as said would prefer not to have spectators. What are the gate fees if there are any? This is being decided; a formal e-mail of rules and procedures is being written and will be e-mailed to all registered riders in a day or two.
I searched bar & grill to see if there were any local watering holes, and found "Johnnie's Topless Go-Go" Wooohooo! boobies
"What's there to do in Monticello?" Oh boy, you guys are in for a surprise. jts5025, it's a bit of a walk but let me recommend getting a reuben at Danny's in Wurtsboro if you're spending the night in that town. Kevin
Thanks confirming the next dates guys. Where can I see the "south" & "north" tracks? On the club's website they haven't shown the breakdown of their giant track.
From the videos south doesn't look as slow as you might think. edit: well yeah comparitively it looks slower than north.
