My Back wishes I would have thought of this many moons ago.... Old Tire.. couple short 2 X 4's... Load it up... I finished that Pile behind it in 1 Morning... No picking them up off the ground and splitting... Works for big Logs too..
LOL... Ride on that damned 8 Year Old Rain like I did at CMP and you would be happy to nail it to a stump.. That thing was gone... and the front was worse...
That is a GREAT idea I've had that exact problem! That wood looks like some easy-splitting wood; I've got some hickory from a tree that died in my front yard; that stuff is holy hell to split! Better do it before it gets warm (or wait til next fall!)
