So Fox now owns Speed and don't plan on covering WSBK anymore (which I think is garbage, I think it's great racing on machines I can actually tell what they are) and I feel that the MotoGP coverage is substandard at best, I'm not really sure what options exist to watch motorcycle racing on TV. They want to sell the video on demand service... meh.
Ok, so apparently it's on the BeIN sports network, which is carried by Comcast but only as part of a larger package.
I finally found a link that sorta works. Use at your own risk: http://www.kakibara.com/watch/live/...uperbikes-phillip-island-pole-qualifying.html It is mostly blocked by a prompt to download a plugin (which I will not try) but I can see part of the coverage from this link.
Maximize the window to full scrfeen and to plugin part goes to the background (disappears)... Still not working on Bein...
I also found a way to get past it using this link instead: http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=190996&part=sports I think it is the same source feed. I just configured chrome to not run plugins w/o prompting. that let me close the ad box and the plugin download box too
On the WSBK page they offer a streaming package that you can BUY for a season with lots of extra stuff, but it's like $150! I dig my racing as much as anybody else, but I want to watch it from the comfort of my recliner and not stream it to my laptop like it's youtube (appletv not withstanding).
I've been watching live streaming directly from beinsport.tv here http://beinsportlivestreaming.overon.es/ You're welcome ;-)
I bought the super duper sport package with 80 extra channels were I will not watch 79 of them. However it was $5 a month. That is doable so I did it. The BeIn coverage was actually pretty good. They even showed the Supersport race as well as both Superbike races.
I watched a British feed. It was entertaining and irreverent. They were calling one gal "Thunder Thighs".
