Any shots of this? It was my friend. *no rush, i'll look through them when they're uploaded. Just wanted to know if you were taking pictures or not
I think I have a few after shots, but not during the wreck. I do have a few pics of the guy saving it in the gravel though. ************************update******************* August 3rd event is offline and republishing with the 421 novice pictures that accidentally ended up in advanced moved to novice. Thanks for your patience. - Joe
Sorry guys, I broke your links. But, the photos are republished, hopefully with everyone in the correct group now.
For the record, the front end was still straight but I broke pretty much everything else Man, that sucked. Looking forward to seeing the shots once you have them up.
My ride took it way better than whatever poor soul threw his bike into the barrier coming out of turn 9. He looked fine from what I could tell, but they had to pull his bike out with a crane. I'm going to guess he's not in a terribly good mood.
Walking away is the important part. I didn't see the one in 9, just heard about it, I was on the other side of the track when it happened.
Unfortunately getting the images up for Aug 4th tonight is not going to happen tonight (this morning). The shear number of files was too much. Before sorting I had 11,391 files. I should have them uploaded by evening tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.
I'm seriously looking forward to getting my CD. The fresh angles are more than welcome. Joe clearly "gets it." That was obvious to me at Autobahn and his comments here are equally informed. Here's my thought process. We've complained about certain photographers in the past. Here's a new, enthusiastic guy who is out there trying new stuff that we've never seen before. This is exactly what many of us have bitched and moaned to get. If you like his stuff, even a little, then vote with a couple of your dollars. Myself? I voted 50 times and even loaned him my pit scooter. If we don't support these people, we lose them.
Agreed!! All of the photographers have something to offer. Ppl bitch & moan enough and they'll be stuck with just 8,9 & 1 lol.
Thanks for your support guys. BTW, I've seen the Sunday images. They are much better than Saturday, in my opinion. Takes a few tries to really figure out a track. Anyway, I get off work around 5 and I think I can have the images up in the evening assuming everything goes well. I made some headway last night.
Good talking to you Joe, you wandered by my pit area after the first session on Saturday when I was fixing my valve cover gasket. Unfortunately you said you don't shoot the first sessions, because I would have loved to have a picture of my bike billowing out all that white smoke :jester: There's some good shots of me from Saturday, and then there's some great shots of my on Saturday that show that I need to practice my BP more. Looking forward to seeing Sunday's shots!
Yah, bummer that I missed that. I've just found that 1st session pictures are not really what people usually want. Everyone is going the slowest they'll go all day (unless it looks like it's gonna rain soon). If people are straight up and down in the corners it's not as good a picture. So I take that time to meet everyone as much as I can.
Photos from Sunday are uploading. I think it'll be about an hour before the event is published to the website.
i do have to say that the two pictures (for a whopping $60 ) i purchased from Memorial day were of EXCEPTIONAL quality. That being said, i cannot thank you enough for actually taking your time to put this on a real website so i dont feel hi-jacked into making a snap purchase to remember a day by. For that alone, i plan on giving you $$.
I'm glad you appreciate that. Part of the reason I started shooting was because I wanted to do this the way I'd want it if I was a customer. I've also bought many CDs and seen many business models. I never understood making people buy on faith that there might be a good picture of you. 37% published. I guess it's taking longer than an hour.
well i'm an IT guy so i'll just stay up and deal with the server crashes in the morning. I NEED MAH PICTARS! :jester:
LOL, so am I. Network Engineer. You? This is where the magic happens, and where I'm currently sitting
