Well, I spoke too soon. I didn't quite have the money yet and the slots are all pretty much sold out. :cry: :cry: Oh well, on the bright side. The extra week will help me get a couple more things that I need for the track. (Like a lap timer and a front wheel stand.) So on the positive side it's a good thing too......I just have to wait longer for adrenaline...... :shock: Where's a track rock when I need it. :lol: :lol:
That avatar is just wrong . Shoulder is better , running two miles day ( in the woods ) a little smimming in there too . Bike is almost back together new forks ,dampner ,paint...cant wait . Looking to beat my last personal best from last year .

Sadly at Road America yesterday, Champ car driver Christiano DaMatta was criticaly injured when he struck a deer on the drack while testing. I think those first few laps might feel a little spooky.
RA 8/13 on my new 04 R^ I'll be riding a new lightly modified R6 - clipons, engine covers, frame slidders, tank grips, Cheetah race fairing, Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Went down at Grattan (turn 10) on my SV last time and Auto S when front tire (turn 9) got wet muddy when I got too close to apex. I'll be riding pretty conservatively.... Does anybody have any suggestions as to the next best mods for this bike? I'll check/adjust race sag at both ends. Sus. feels very good on bumpy streets. My first race weekend will be Aug 18 at BHF on the SV. steve.
I'll be there 8/13 on a 'new' 04 R6 Looking forward to riding this track on two wheels at more than parade speed. Drove my scared family around it in the rain in a Maxima SE a few years ago. Is anyone returning to the Chicago area (Gurnee) Sunday night (13th) - don't need bike transport unless it's available.
