I've been cigarette free for a week now. Anyone need a free ass-whoopin' or have a dog they'd like me to kick?

Hey, you can have at my ex if you want Chris!  Ok, well not really but it wouldn't exactly break my heart completely either. Just puff on the track pipe and you will forget all about the smokes.

After a 30 year run of 2+ packs a day, I stopped in 1997. Since then I've broken one leg twice and the other three times, but still feel better than when I smoked.... :?

    Good Luck!!!!!!

    Awesome dude!!!!! hang in there....

My mom and dad quite when he had a heart attack. They said the first 2 weeks was the toughest thing they ever did!!!!

After that it got a little easier....

Just think if you go back you'll have to go through the initial withdrawl all over again...

    Good luck to you,

I quit ten years ago after smokeing for almost thirty years. The patch helped me. The craveings only lasted ten or fifteen minutes as opposed to hours when I tried cold turkey. If you try some sort of aid, be sure to follow their program exactly. I've had a few friends "modify" the program, just an excuse for cheating, then blame the product when couldn't quit.

Ok now I guess I should actually chime in with my positive approach to this now.(I just love talking smack with you Chris, it's so much fun. Don't worry though. I most definitely know my place on the track though....Just don't be suprised when I hunt you down and suck up as much info off of you as I possibly can. :D )

I actually used to smoke a pack and a half a day for a few years and I got the worst cold in the world that lasted for a month. I don't even get sick and this one was the mac daddy of colds. I actually felt so nasty that I just flat out quit cold turkey and didn't even plan on it. Just think of that cold if you go back to smoking. If you smoke you're odds of coughing up that nasty chartreuse looking phlem needlessly for weeks could be awaiting you. Just quit now while you are ahead. You'll do fine. If you can race a frickin motorcycle and do the stuff we do you can find the confidence and will power to quit!!!

I was really starting to feel it on the bike, and that was the last straw. You just can't have a coughing fit in the middle of a session! The money is getting sick, too. $10 or more per day is possible at current price levels, and the things aren't likely to get cheaper. Don't worry. I have the right attitude this time. I'm done. It's all over but the withdrawal....

    Hey Chris,

I'm smoking one right now. Man I love these things. They really are good for you, the government doesn't want you to know that, they don't want you to be calm and satisfied. I will be in your hood tomorrow, I'll stop by and we can smoke a couple if you want, they will be on me. Ahhh..........

I find that if I smoke a cigarette WHILE riding on the track I am more focused on my riding skills. Hey, don't knock it if you haven't tried it. I don't overthink everything, instead I just enjoy the track, my smoke, my friends, you know, it's KOOL.

Please don't tell Monte, he might make a new rule.

I feel for ya Chris. You'll do it though........Just think of it as a race. If you quit you can't win. Also, yes withdrawals suck!!! :x They will get way better in a short time though.
