Instead of cluttering up the warm fuzzies in the Thank Yous thread, I thought I'd add clutter by starting a new thread. It seems a little bit appropriate seeing as X and I first met in person at an STT track day, and our honeymoon, technically was an STT track day. On October 13th, 2006 (yes, 2006) X and I ran off to Las Vegas, rented a Lotus Elise, and got married in a drive through. We didn't tell anybody. When we arrived back at home, we went straight off the plane to pick up the trailer and headed down to Autobahn for two days. There are various reasons why we didn't tell anyone, including my mom being very sick, and the fact that we'd only met two months earlier in August at Road America. We decided we'd wait a reasonable amount of time for two people to know each other before they get married, before we'd tell people that we got married. Well, and honestly, we knew it was kind of a crazy thing to do, and wanted to make sure it would stick. We also wanted to make sure our parents knew first. So, we waited. And then life got busy, then we were gone every weekend at the track. So finally when the season was over, X told his mom, and we told my dad and brothers. It's kind of funny that once we started telling people publicly, it's spread like crazy. That's why we had to tell parents first. So... since it's started spreading here, and we never made an official announcement to our STT family (K3 knew a while ago, and I told Nick Amelio's wife after too many beers.) and give y'all the whole story.
Funny, I had an inkling too... Congrads to you both, you sneaky wabbits. Delayed or not, were so glad to hear the news. Cheers!
Congratulations You guys did a good job of keeping it a secret. When I saw you at the track you did not act married at all. I guess that may change now!!!!
I don't know how I knew, but I knew you were married at the Trackday Mag. Com track day at BHF. I didn't really give it a thought, but my hardy congratulations to both of you. You guys make a great looking couple..
Serious congrats Jen & X. So how did that go again? X this is my X, Trev. Trev, this is X. Damn, I'm sure glad that's all behind us. This marriage better work or I'm going to get even more confused. My X, X. He became really good friends with my X Trev and so on. My hair hurts.
Tojo... such a goofball..... X introduced himself to me at Autobahn this year. Before that I knew who he was, but we had never had a conversation. I have to say, Jen is, by far, the coolest woman I've ever had a relationship with. I was super bummed when we broke up, but I'm glad after some time apart that we are good friends again. Because of Jen, I've gotten to know X... a super great guy - I'm glad we have become friends. You guys are both super-cool and I think the world of both of you.... congrats!!!!! t
Sorry Trev. I did not mean anything by it! PS: I forgive you for the goofball comment. I love Jen too.

Truckstops real name is Mrs. Jen Meekma. Yes an instructor. What do her looks have to do with anything ? She looks like Truckstop... 8)
Here's an old pic of Mrs. Meekma, at the IOGTT (Isle of Goose TT in Chicago) in 2004.... this is before her crazy dreads, but a favourite pic to be sure: I'm sure X has some more current pictures..... t
