Laurie told me a while ago and I did what I was ORDERED to do...keep my mouth shut. I am glad you guys finally announced it. Jen and X, you are both wonderful people. I always enjoy seeing you both at the track. You are a staple of STT and our staffing family. I am very happy you have officially announced it and I look forward to cracking a bottle of bubbly at our very first Autobahn dinner this April. Your friend,
JenX are two of my best friends. In the racetrack world, where I've met almost all the truly exceptional people I know, they stand out in elite company. The two were meant for each other. I was so freakin thrilled when they told me about their marrage. Let me tell you, it was really hard to keep that secret. Trev is unbelievably gallant and a better man than I'll ever be. Man, I could so fall in love with Jen, and would then go completely psycho when she left me! My wedding wish for you two is one word. Forever.
Wow, y'all got my good side in those pics. I like this one: Thank y'all for all of the kind words and congratulatory such and such. We're so lucky to have a bunch of really excellent friends. As mentioned in the other thread, I didn't change my name so I'm not really Mrs. Meekma, although my last name is also six letters and a lot of them are the same so whatever, it doesn't really matter. Changing it right away would have made keeping it secret harder, and now it just seems like an awful lot of paperwork. I've been me for this long, it doesn't feel right to change it. It's been suggested that we hyphenate, but our names together sound like some newly discovered disease or something. No thanks. Nick, I was pretty sure she was gonna tell you, and I'm not sure how many other people, like Buck, suspected. Bart always called us husband/wife, but then we weren't sure if he really knew, or was just saying it to be funny. The hardest part about not telling anyone, was when people would ask, like Laurie did. I'm a terrible liar, and in general just can't outright lie to people... so when directly asked, it totally killed me. Fortunately, with our friends and families, nobody ever guessed. ...and oh yeah, Ron can hit on me any time he wants to. It makes X laugh, kind of like when T calls me out on stuff and picks on me. He *loves* that, 'cos he knows he can't get away with it. Justin - Flyin J's do indeed have wi-fi. It used to be free, but now the jerks charge for it. http://www.fjcomm.com/internet-hotspots.asp
