Who cares! I'm already down there the weekend before for Barber -- now it's just a slower drive back up to Chicago with a stop in Kentucky!
haha, very true. Was just curious as I've only done 2 track days total and both with STT. I will likely do this anyways Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
This is excellent, can't wait to make the trek down and check it out. Seems like a top notch facility in the making!
I have no idea how it is to ride with MCRA, but I guess I'm gonna find out. Just have to keep my eyes open. How do you have two events same weekend? We gonna be racing vettes?
I sure don't like to see a concrete wall that close to the pavement and hope that's a right turn coming towards the camera....
More updated pics from the FB page today.... It looks great, but I sure see a lot of, what appears to be, walls really close to the track. I sure hope this isn't another Atlanta Motorsports Park
Looking at the track maps they seem to show traps in the right places so I am thinking it is all good.
All I can say is someone I trust and has been around motorcycle racing and trackdays for a number of years has been there and evaluated the track and gave it a good to go status with the current plans for tire barriers, etc. that are to be used.
There is also a fair amount of potential perspective distortion in those due to low angles etc. A good example of that is turn 5 at Barber. I have had people say they were worried but it is all in the angle as the wall is a LONG way from the track. The same way on the outside coming up the bridge, that wall is further away than it looks (I know )
