the museum owns it and they raised funds by members of the corvette clubs etc.. they sold acre plots i believe to raise additional funds.. i hope to god its not GM owned, we all saw how they manage money.. Bailout ring a bell?? LOL
I was hoping GM DOES own it... as in, their terrible budget skills would lead to them spending way more than they should have
well.. i sure hope their build quality would be better than their trucks :lmao: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEpBv0v7cAM
Pratt & Miller designed this track, the people who manufacture the Team Corvette Racing LeMans cars. Also this is only the 2nd track EVER that has been asphalted using 3d technology It will have less than an 1/8th inch tolerance thickness throughout the entire track. The other 3d track? COTA. Midwest cafe racers will be the first bikes there (Oct. 25-26), and here is their pricing. Track Day (Advanced Registration) $195.00 Track Day (Trackside) $235.00
From dealing with the folks there, I can say I'm sure they will be open when they say they'll be open. They are very on-point and professional - I think it's going to be a pleasure dealing with them. The main reason I didn't take any fall 2014 dates is simple schedule conflicts between what they had available and what was open on our schedule. Anyway - I will want reports from you once you're there!!!!! t
What, in my backyard? If you come I'd live to pit w/you, always good to have someone you know with your stuff
Yes, almost 2/3rd of the West track and half of the East track is already asphalted. Guardrails are up, and pits are done, parking lot is done.
Not sure if this meets the site rules...apologize in advance and if mods delete... http://www.motorsportreg.com/events...ctober-midwest-cafe-racing-association-650111
I'd send that in a pm. But thanks. You're not gonna hurt their feelings. As long as you don't advertise for it
NCM is reporting a self-imposted sound level of 103db at 50ft, which they got from the National Rulebook of the Sports Car Club of America. Source: I have a copy of email sent to another track provider from the GM of NCM Motorsports Park, forwarded to me by said provider. Question: How does that match up with motorcycle exhaust sound levels? I'm going to test out my GP exhaust tonight and see what kind of sound levels that relates to, but can anyone with experience speak further? This may be one of those "oh uh" moments that nobody has considered yet.
