Glad to know I wasn't the only one to make an agricultural detour!! I took too shallow a line coming through turn 11 and hit the grass at around 70.

Saturday Advanced is online Yes, that is all of them. I apologize for the low volume. Our afternoon showers and morning red flags ate into the prime shooting time. I made up for it on Sunday, though!
Good shot, just realized I am a rolling billboard for Buell. Well at least no one has to guess what I ride. lol
Film from Barber is finally back. The lab here didn't have a big enough scanner for my tastes, so they sent it off to their sister lab. Holy smokes these scans are HUGE!
Nashville Under the Lights has, for the past 3 years now, been the hardest event to shoot of the year. This one is no exception, and these were the hardest conditions under which to shoot I have ever had the pleasure of tackling. Motorcycle photography has its own unique challenges, and everyone who knows even a little about photography knows that low light and speed do not mix well. Ok, how about we add in the complexities that come with shooting portraiture and artificial light? Namely: metering, color temperature, artificial light power, ambient light, max sync speed, batteries and power purity ("Hey Allan, do you know if this generator produces sine waves?") and of course the typical depth of field, ISO, and shutter speed issues. That's a lot of variables! Aside from the technical issues, the artistic side didn't come quite as easily. Safety required stringent limits to where the lights could go, which we ignored more and more as you all got more comfortable. I was very nervous that the strobes would cause massive injury, but I risk my life every event, it was your turn! (Not really.) As I type this, Advanced from Friday is going online. They should be up by morning.
Thanks Drop. I got sick of seeing about 10 people after every trackday jack my work on Facebook or dating sites like Fatfarmony.
