    What's the story on Atlanta Motorsports Park??? Events all show "Sold Out" but also say will not go on sale until the track officially opens.

    Will they open soon? Their web site does not reveal current status, but i thought they were all set to go???

    One of those times that I like being wrong. lol Hopefully the rest of the loose ends wont take the rest of the year.

    They are done, grass is down, garages are sold out. By next week it should be buttoned up.

    As soon as we get confirmation that the track is done, the spots will be for sale on the STT site. We wanted to have our dates listed on the site so people knew when the dates were and could plan accordingly... but we don't want to sell spots and then have to cancel an event because the track isn't done yet (cough, Bluegrass, cough).

    I will also have to go out to the track and see it first hand as I have quite a few questions for them from the photos I've seen. I need to make sure the track is safe before we turn a wheel on it.

    I think I know which corner you're talking about...the pictures make the wall seem REAL close with little to no run-off. Hopefully it doesn't look nearly as bad in person.

    If it turns out that the track is OK, see about getting a "Staff Acclimatization Meeting"....on the track!!! :)

    We were scheduled to do a car weekend there this past weekend but it was canceled last week as the track is still not completed. Should be very soon though.

    I have walked the track and yes Trev you need to check out the run off area's for sure before finalizing STT's plans......

    I'll have my 'tard with me up in Cumming this weekend. Just a hop, skip, and jump from Dawsonville. I'd be happy to come out and "look" at the track for you. ;)

    p.s. If anyone knows a way to avoid the north-bound traffic on 400 around 6p, I'm all ears. :=/

    Nope...no way to avoid it. Sucks ass when I'm driving up to my girlfriend's place after work on a Friday. :cry:
