Nahhh....I am looking at the glass as being half full... It just stinks that the work is done... The doubters were wrong (Including myself) but now it sucks for bikes... do what Im doing and start saving for a Shifter Cart... The full course would be a Bad Ass track for those for sure...:thumb:
The worst part of it is there were several of us at multiple meetings that raised these concerns and were told "It'll be fine" and we all told the guy (s) "You ride it first". We also suggested a few changes so the track could be ran in either direction but that fell on deaf ears too. So close to home too......
The contact I have said they will run one or the other but not both (he did say session and not day) - watch out antifreeze here we come. He also said that the one-year expiration on the certificates will start after they open for business.
That's good! Maybe the guys that ran with cars were just doing "parade" laps. Would be effing dumb to be out there with cars. I also heard something different about the free track time. I posted on their facebook page asking about that. They said it was 1 year from the day you did the tire walls. Now it may have changed since I asked about that (couple of months ago).
Disappointed, since I had spoken with the developers several times and even took a tour of the track during construction, voicing concerns about motorcycle safety in the design. I got the same "we are going to be sure it will be OK" responses. Guess we know who they were aiming at all along. Let's face it, the folks with the bucks to drive Ferraris and Porches and buy fancy garages at the track are the driving force at AMP (and there are evidently a lot of people with a lot more money than I have). Just wonder how they will fair when the newness wears off and the car guys aren't throwing all their cash at the new track anymore. Well, keep us informed. Meanwhile Road A and Barber are still close and a lot of fun.
