This coming weekend will be my first USA track day, spent the last 3 years running tracks all over Europe, Spa, Nurburgring, Mugello, Brno, Sachsenring, Assen to name some of the bigger ones. Been close to a year since my last track day, a bit nervous, but can't wait to see how things are run here in the USA compared to overseas. I'll be there Sunday on a Ducati 900SS running in the intermediate group...looking fwd to seeing you all there.
This is my first track day with STT. Is the price on the site the same price for tires at the track, and do they charge additional for mounting?
what is the electric fee? Does anyone know the actual fee for electricity and/or camping? And you say we pay in the pits, to whom in the pits do we pay? I have called Barber a few times and have not gotten an answer.
Re: what is the electric fee? You pay Heather in the pits. Cost depends on what you use and how you re camping? Trailer, RV?
When you get there go down to the Paddock and ask for Heather. She will have the Boxes.. They will be located in the caged room behind the wall where Mark puts his RV. Its $25 for the box per day but many people can share them... They plug in the Pit wall so bring a long extension cord.
Friday Night Setup - First Time At Barber We will be coming in Friday evening - 6-7ish and I am curious if I can go ahead and set up the EZ-UP and drop the bike and trailer off in the paddock? We are staying in Leeds and don't really want to leave the bike in an open trailer. What do most folks do that do not stay at the track? thanks for the help - can't wait to ride this track! David
You can set up at the track Friday. You have to be inside Barber by nine o'clock but you can come and go as you please all night after you get your wrist band
Jimbo - were you instructing at Tally a couple of weeks ago - in the r***? If that was you just wanted to say that I really enjoyed you guys. That was my first time on the Bike in about a year and I grinned all day long. Graphite Daytona 675...... Thanks for the info - see you guys there!
