Yeah, my EZ up was trashed, only 2 left now at WalMart on 280... EVERYONE's was trashed. wind was so strong my 10 x 12 flatbed trailer was being blown around when disconnected from my truck. Let's hope for a good day sat and sunday!
Glad I wasnt there then. I already lost one EZup at Roebling this year. the dang things are not cheap
Yup, quick front came by and tore stuff all to hell, almost tore the canopy off my camper. Weather looks better tomorrow. For anyone bringing an RV, the power on the lower level is 60 amp and there are no converter plugs around anywhere. I brought 30 AMP and 50 AMP, dragged this damn RV all the way from FL.....we finally gave up on getting power to run the AC in the RV and got a hotel room. The upper levels have 30 AMP so plan accordingly
We got there Friday night, dropped off the enclosed and debated putting the EZ-up up then. Glad we didn't cause all that crap blew through while we went out for dinner. Man that was a mess.
There are no conversion boxes for RV's. Conversion boxes are only good for 15 Amp service. You need to have an adapter for RV's so you can plug straight into 50 Amp service
75 mile an hr gust took out several EZ ups and camper canopies. Mine never moved. It was strapped to fence and Spare for my trailer.
I had fun at my first Barber day Sunday even though I only got to ride 2 sessions. I was hoping to get a good day to see how my lap times would be since it was my first time there...1st session 1.48, 2nd session 1.41. I have no idea if this is good or bad but I felt like there were a ton of places I could have gone much quicker while I was out for the 2nd session. Gawddd I want a full day there!!!! Ohh and I was an idiot for thinking 20-30% chance of rain (which turned into 80% by the time we got halfway there :-( )would end up in a complete downpour!! I left the rains at home to fit a cooler in the truck....note to self...never do that AGAIN!
Well, my 1st time at Barber ended early in the 2nd session on Sat, my engine case split and started leaking oil all over the header, got flagged off, good thing as it was getting all over my rear wheel. A+ for the corner workers for getting me stopped before I found out the hard way..... Barber the track gets an A++...... I have been on Assen, Mugello, Brno, Sachsenring, Spa, Nurburgring, Hochenheim, and other than the fact Barber has no staight worth taliking about I rate it right up there with Mugello in terms of the best track I have ever been on....hands down. I cannot wait to get back there...... Almost forgot, STT puts on a 1st rate track day, In Europe most events end up being a free for all no real rules, no real enforcement of bad riding..... etc,
No doubt..... I am so ready for a track weekend.... See you guys there... And dont forget to drink lots of water people!!!
