My wife has been on me about buying better gear so I should man up and get the wallet out. I know it will save me in the long run. I would like to get out of the two piece suit and invest in boots with better lateral support and a helmet that fits perfect. Think the STG guys would bring stuff for me to try if I asked?
Man if your wife is on you to buy better gear you either have a cool wife or you really really need some gear. Mine isn't too happy with my new rs taichi suit.....but I am:thumb:
Cool or smart? Sombodys gotta pay the bills and she knows if I get too mangled up she would have to take care of the both of us. Selfish is what i call it. Gah....Guess I better start doing some shopping.
Thumbs up from here on the RS Taichi! Can't wait to break mine in... Let's just hope it's only stretching the leather and not anything else!
More important than that is enjoy the camaraderie. Some of the best times (and stories I can now tell) would have been missed if I stayed in hotels on TD's. Riding is only half the fun. The other half is in the pits goofing off.
This was last week, have made some more minor additions and changes but she's pretty much ready to roll!
Mine was packed last Sunday. Mostly because I had to leave town Tuesday and will be coming straight to the track from out of town and someone else is driving my rig over to the track. It has been a long week in Pennsylvania and will be a long week this week. Hopefully though, I will get out of here Thursday afternoon and back in the south Friday afternoon. Anticipation of riding at Barber is the only keeping from going bat shit crazy here. (well more bat shit crazy than I already was )
I wouldn't just trust that bungy on those gas cans..... If one got knocked over it wouldn't be pretty...
Hey guys, new to the forum, been doing STT trackdays for about 3 years now. Wanted to get an earlier start than usual this year, but Intermediate was already sold out. If anyone knows of anybody that ends up not able to make it at the last minute, I would be willing to buy their Intermediate spot for either or both days. Or if anyone has any other suggestions, I am open to that also. Looking forward to really working on getting better this year with you guys.
Well I'm no where near ready yet! My bike serves double duty and this evening I took off the street stuff and then it was delivered to my boyfriend's shop for a tire swap. Tomorrow evening I shall attempt to finish up!
Your 10min up the road cuz. Why not sign up for Novice Sunday and brush up on the skills for the begining of the year? Some riding is better than no riding right?
