I can't let the 2 of you have the track to yourselves....I'm in for both days. Is the track big enough for 3  ?
ugh... pocono. to call that place a toilet, is an insult to quality plubing fixtures... still, I'll probably go back...
I love how the bumps are exactly where you don't want them. Still, I'll continue to go there. It's just too close not to.
Even with my suspension bits and good dial in, I still have to compromise on my set-up there. I went with more feel and less plush but that's the relative deal with those Ohl. cartridges anyway. I think I find that the faster I go, the less time I worry about the bumps. When I slow up for whatever reason, I notice them more.
my gsxr is set-up similarly, albeit with racetec in the forks. I found that keeping my ass off the seat helped considerably, both at pocono and on the back straight of the Beaver. If you go fast enough, you're literally flying over the bumps & they hardly seem to matter, I just had to get used to the feel of what seemed like the front end skittering along the macadam. didn't seem like much of a problem at a buck-20 or more... any slower & the bumps seemed noticeable. anyone else going besides the three of us?
I have a couple of friends heading there from Ohio that are regulars for this trip. I'm sure there are a few more people going from this forum that just didn't post up.
I'll going also as this will be the last run for 2006. I can't wait for this trip across Pa looking at all the fall colors. we'll bring the good XLR camera for the trip across.
I'm glad you mentioned taking pictures of the trip, Renard. There is one section of mountain range I always wanted to photo.
I just signed up. I've never been to this track before but have only heard good things. I'll be bringing my "smoker" along with verik. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. PS. Anyone know of a sale on the pop-up canopies? Seems like there are some great sales on these as they go out of season but I can't remember where. Love to have one for the Beav.
Walmart has had a nice one with a vented peak that's nice when the wind picks up. i think it's 12X12 and it sold for $89 all summer long; it might be better priced, now..
What time are you guys showing up I would like to show on friday and do a track walk friday before it gets dark to re-aquaint myself with the track?
