+1 on the great weekend. Thanks to everyone involved. My favorite moment was when Lance was standing (towering) at the Shadow Video booth, and someone who knows of him only through this forum walks up and asks, "Are you gigantic?"
i'm still walking on air... i'm glad to get to know all of the people associated with the stt club. you all make the weekend that much better. cheers to all of you who helped make it a fitting ending to my season. it was really a great weekend! get better soon mike! also, thanks to kevin for providing my new avatar. 8)
Since we're discussing funny moments. I'm sure you guys in A will remember the poor fellow in Int. that decided to go the wrong way on the track to exit while we waited on the grid on Sunday. At the time, we were unamused but now I can laugh about it.
I would like i know why :?: this guy who fell on top of the hill and at the end of the session cut across the infield grass and got going the wrong way is that the reason you packed up early? I remember we had 3 more session left to ride on sunday.
I actually observed this first hand. I had missed a shift coming up the hill so I pitted in and went thru the parking area just to observe the lines people were taking thru 1, 2, and 3. There was a rider who had gone down much earlier in the session with his bike pushed about 10 feet from the edge of the track (this was basically at the outside edge of turn one, a very fast section. To my suprize he then rode his bike across the track and back up pit out (the wrong way) to his waiting buddy. I said to his buddy "what the XXXX is this idiot doing?" His response was "He just went down" . I was so stupified I didn't have much of an answer. I only went out one more session after that and called it a day myself.
Jeez, the wrong way on a hot track??? Do these people not attend the riders' meetings, or do they just not pay attention during said meetings??
