Like I said in my original post, RACE SLICKS now have bi-directional markings. Q2/Q3's don't have that mark, but I still know that people flip them.

Me: I crashed the first day on (my) new (to me) liter bike in Charlotte's Web at Barber - the older BT015's that were on it had a boatload of tread left - so even though I had a brand new set of Q2's in the truck, I decided to 'wear them a little before I swapped them because I'm a cheap bastard'....learned my lesson that a replacement tire is a LOT CHEAPER than plastics/parts/gear/doctor...

Do you know any who use warmers with the SP? I know you don't "have" to but I feel like warm tires are always a good thing on the out lap.

Do they have to use lower temps between sessions so they don't cook the tires? Or can they do the full temp like you would on the SC?

He said he is a slow intermediate. Would a slow intermediate rider even generate enough heat for a race tire (SC) to perform properly?

I would think the street tire (SP) would be the better choice.

For the record, I run SC's without warmers, and haven't had any issues, running them slow/mid intermediate pace.

Just make sure you take the time/laps to warm up the tires every session.

Should I be concerned that the front is wearing faster than the rear? I read in another thread someone saying you should be able to do a front for every 2 rears.

Does this suggest an issue with the geometry? My 675R came from the dealer with the forks "4 lines" above the trees ... a lot of guys lower them to be flush.
