Good point, but I have quite a bit more than a couple Novice days under my belt.

Anyone get any video when they were behind me at all? I've never watched myself from behind and really want to :)

Well, you got CCW figured out a lot sooner than I did. Took me a couple of sessions to figure out the lines, which was why I was glad to get a tow from Timmy.

I'm still pissed about the fact that just about every i4 600 out on the track is able to pull a gap on my 749. Not what I expected when I pieced this thing together over the winter. :wtf: Guess I'm going to have to invest a couple more $1k in the motor in the off season...

No, I didn't get any forward video all weekend. My GoPro is a piece of junk. I'll be chucking it in the garbage and getting a new one for next year.

Not from behind, but is this you that appears at about the 1 min mark?

Watch the magic trick I perform at the 1:30 mark...a blue bike disappears behind my wheel, then emerges as a red bike. Thank you! I'll be here all week! :pop:

If the bike was blue, then it wasn't me! I got a black beemer.. if you're talking about the blue beemer that was on track sometimes with us, that definitely wasn't me haha that guy was flying!

And you forgot to post the link :thumb:

The BWAAAAAAWOAWOAWOAWOAWAAAAAAAAAA is one reason I may never go back to i4s. Besides the righteous noises, i love the way the torquey motor shoots you out of the bus stop and t3 and doesn't threaten to toss you on your head. The last sewing machine I had on the track was my yzf600r years ago. Nice bike, but i don't miss one bit.

I'm going to look into getting 749s heads and cams over the winter. That should add a few ponies and maybe a Nichols flywheel to help it spin up faster. Or I could just track my 999s and be done with it.

    Congrats Velox on the promotion.
See you next year at Grattan in I.....was there Sat. only.

Yes, take Cam footage of yourself or a friend trailing you, will really
show some flaws to work on.

Actually, Labor day was his first outing of the year due to engine probs. So, if two weekends in Sept constitute summer, then yes. ;)

That's what -1/+2 does for ya :D there's not a spot at grattan where my bike is sluggish with that gearing and as I learn the track more that gearing may change.

Nice vid! You look like you were running pretty decent laps in the 1:30 range. I think you'll drop a couple of seconds as you learn the track layout better. Also you really only got passed in the classic grattan passing spots, over the hump several times, into the bowl once and onto the front straight once.
BTW thats me that shows up at about 12:30 on the front straight.

    Later
    Steve
