just a helpful thought Just a related thought, Monday at appreciation day down at Mid Ohio, the night before it monsoon rained. The morning was FFFFRREEEZING. hoodies on top of leathers freezing. Tires pretty much useless...BUT...by 10-11 am, and just a small bit of sunshine, ended up being a perfect day. Just some positive vibe thoughts...
just a helpful thought I posted this on the other discussion, but some positive vibe to put out there. ...Monday had to work the final customer appreciation day at Mid Ohio, MONSOON Sunday night.....Monday morning FRRREEEEZING. Hoodies on top of leathers with the jersey coach pullover on top of that...Bikes sideways . Advanced session going 5 mph on keyhole and madness. BUT after a quick bit of sunshine, we were almost up to normal pace and stayed that way the rest of the day...again, just some positive thoughts for everyone. Hope to be there. Either way, hope everyone has fun. Just take her easy those first few sessions is all, right?
Ill be there camping out Friday night. While Saturday will be my first track day, excited and nervous to say the least.
We will be there late Friday. probably 10 O'clockish. He's got a black V4 tuono and I have a black GSX-R750 with 151 on the number plates and a purple and white XR100. We should be easy to find.
My parade just got rained on, I tried to reserve a rental suit and they just got back to me saying that they are all booked up.... So now I'm trying to find a cheap used one just to get me by or maybe borrow one.
6ft, 205ish lbs, 34 waist, I like long walks on the beach and smooth jazz..... I live in central Illinios.
Funny I have an old set of leathers but the are to small for a man of your stature. You might be able to get away with pants that zip into your leather jacket. Hope you can find a set
Need to rent a suit Anyone have leathers I could rent for Sunday? I'm a size 40. Tryed to rent a suit for my first track day on Sunday but there all rented out. Is there any other company's that rent suits? Thanks Jim
I have a Frank Thomas suit size 56/46 that may fit you, although it will be a bit big in the waist, as I think it's cut around a 36 waist (I'm 6'1 185, 34 waist). It was my suit for my first two track seasons & has upgraded Forcefield T-pro shoulder, elbow, knee and back armor. You are welcome to borrow it, or buy it. It's just taking up space now. It was crashed, and repaired by Alexa. It's not the prettiest, but it protected me when I needed it to. Unfortunately, I'm not headed to Grattan this weekend. I'm in Chicago (1 mi off of I-57, 10 mi north of I-80), so perhaps not too far out of the way if you want to stop and pick it up, or arrange with someone from Chicago to bring it to you.
I don't mean to take away bussiness for you beac83, but I have a dainese suit size 42/52 that's too big for me. You can borrow it if you would like, at least for saturday. I live in Grand Rapids, so Grattan is like 20 minutes away. I have crashed on it several times, but it is repaired and works fine. When I crashed with the Dainese suit, the pads would move, and did not protect very well, so I got hurt pretty bad with each fall. I am 5'8" 160 lbs, and wear a white Speed and Strength suit size 40/50. I wear my size 50 suit comfortably, so the 52 might fit you, even though it might be tight. Let me know if you would like to borrow it, or pm me. Good luck!
