I should have stayed behind you. You had nice smooth lines and I was able to follow without my bike wanting to go all stupid. Yeah I'm not sure why she had it out either... I think I heard it was for a goose that was wandering around. I did pull a wheelie when I passed you in the sweeper! :wheel:
Great video! Im glad the speed could be seen. Its a nice reference to see how things compare. I watch my video and we are close to the same speeds in some places and a little off in others.. What are you riding?
I was on the 2009 - Green/Black/White ZX-10r. Orange Tape over rear taillight. I got lucky with open track. I passed a few people and then pretty much smooth sailing after that. Around 14:30m mark I started to get pretty tired. I did a couple slower laps and pitted early right after video ends. Better safe then :sorry:
I saw that. Right at the beginning. "Oh, there goes Joe". Neither he nor I ran a camera that day. Its too bad. I learned a lot on Sunday. Got to see a lot of the track that I might not usually see. We got some real nice open laps on the last session. Too bad my low fuel light came on about 10 minutes in. I ran with the low fuel light for 4 laps and then called it a day a few minutes early. I'd hate to be mid-corner and lose power. Something tells me that has a high chance of an unhappy ending. Too bad you couldn't be there. You going to do August? Or September?
looks like the wiggle was me jamming the front brake for the parker lol. After watching your video, you could make up a lot of time with shifting to through the gears more. I see you take 3 through most of the track, during those slower corners your rpm are really low. This is my shifting for grattan, I think it will help you with your times 5th down the straight, down to 2 for turn 1 keep 2 for turns 2 & 3 exit of 3 upshift before 4 brake at the base of the hump hard, let off and down shift back to 2nd before turns 5,6,7 all in 2nd gear. exit the bowl and short shift to 3rd for the back sweeper down shift to 2nd for the bus stop short shift to 3rd exiting the bus stop using 3rd gear onto the front straight then back up to 5th, 6th sometimes if i get a good drive up the hill :thumb:
Josh - sent you a PM with my contact info. Mine hooks up just fine and perhaps we can compare notes to sort out some of your troubles if you think it would help.
That is the last session on Saturday I think, you can see my bikes scrap marks on turn 7's exit lol :crutch:
Cool, thanks.. I wanted to say that because of the buttons on the left of the tack but couldn't see the "R6" logo at the 6K mark... I had an 09 and I think that's what I'm going back to.
I was staying in 3rd mostly because I would get about 50% less tire spin and traction control intervention.. Later videos and Sunday when I had some things worked out I was using those shift points similar to yours. I wasn't really breaking at the hump though (I'm also not charging as hard as some guys) I would jam it into 2nd right at the base and that really helped me setup and settle over the hump. I really appreciate your feedback! As for parking.... On sunday following my buddy I had a few "Oh shit why are you mashing on the brakes here" moments! :fear: I cant find the video from the one time I got to race you down the front straight...
I'll check through my videos and see I can put together one of you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Last one for me. Filming friends, Rob(S3aturnR) at the start and Jason (jayscbr600) at the end. http://youtu.be/3fC5fPu5BBU
