damn. well, hope you're feeling better by saturday. i just found out today that i don't need another surgery yet and i just got another cortisone shot without being drained again. it's feeling pretty good already, but that's because the doc puts something in it to numb it for the first 24hrs until the cortisone kicks in. hope to see you there; it's nice putting faces to screen names... s3aturnr
i had to sit out the entire track season last year after 2 botched knee surgeries to repair a torn miniscus, the 2nd surgery the doc severed the nerve that runs unde the knee cap. fun times for sure. lol
Could someone link me to the novice bike prep rules. Looked and can't find then and I'm bringing a track newbeeee:fear::fear: Been a long time since I prepped a bike for novice. Big question is antifreeze yes or no? Thanks Steve
Hey Steve....here's a thread to Tech Inspection items by group that one of the other instructors started. Short answer, not required to change for Novice, but a good idea nonetheless. http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=8457 Hope this helps....see ya out there!
It's under the "need help?" Link on the STT home page. http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/track-day-regulations.html

I was curious if anyone has video of Friday 8/31 I know a Ktm was sporting a camera. I have to say riding at dusk is pretty cool all the exhaust flames and brake lights through tape, I was looking for glowing brake pads, lol. I sure wish they offered a Friday leading into a full weekend would make for lots of track time. Curve your the man for assisting in the wreck early on, even if you did stop it was the right thing to do. I'm. Urious to hear the findings on the reason. I don't ever want to experience that ESP if it's a mechanical issue. I would think unseated pad if they locked up.
I didn't stop like they think I did , I ran off into the grass doing about 60 mph................................Seeing that front roll f-ed me some I'm not going to lie it didn't make for a fun night,, I'm glad we got out. Not to long ago I had front roll to your slide........................tikki speed bump..........lol

thanks for all that helped, Kozy (for talking us into, and getting us in on sunday), tim campbell, BIG E eric cell, dennis baker ect... i was able to match my personal best saturday late (1:32). then sunday in the early afternoon i went 1:31 for a few laps one session, and then down to a new personal best 130.44 and backed up with a 130.86, the next session, and ended on a great note. hoping to see the 1:29's at some point next season with some help from my wife and friends. pshipp.... you passed me a bunch of times during the day, always polite and clean, and then i tried to keep up. near the end when i became comfortable with the new sealer, i was able to keep sight of you. you really helped me pick up the pace. THANK YOU! also wanted to give a shout out to Ivan, had his first A day sunday, and dropped from a best of 1:31 with the LED instructors awhile ago, to a new personal best of 1:28 and change. WAY TO GO IVAN!!!! Ski
If all you guys keep getting faster I'm going to have to park the SV and ride the Triumph more often so I can keep up.
Had an Awesome time riding Grattan in the I Group!! Sure as hell wasn't the fastest and wasn't the slowest and kept the rubber side down for the whole day! Woot! Thanks for a great Track day STT. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Wounded Warrior benefit. Semper Fidelis!!
Sunday Had a good day on Sunday but didn't feel very fast, as far as I know my best times are usually right around 1:30 taken from my GoPro videos, wife won't allow a lap timer.... Nice to know I was able to help someone for a change. I need to make more effort to put faces/bikes to forum names when I wander aimlessly around the paddock. I had some time with Eric on Sunday afternoon to look at improving lines and he showed me a way around the sweeper that avoided the big ripples near the apex (had a very bad slapper through there in the morning) Riding standard was very good in A with no close calls all day Will be back on the 30th for some CCW fun latrer
pshipp, sometimes i dont remember all the names but, i dont forget many bikes. here's mine if you dont already know which one i was talking about. Ski
Did anyone hear if the guy riding a Triumph 675R who highsided in the bus stop Sunday over labor day is ok? I heard he got his bell rung pretty bad but haven't heard a follow up. My thoughts and prayers go out for a speedy recovery brother!! Hope to see you out there again real soon!!:rawk:
