Haha, so it was you that I was following around the whole time. I was on the yellow beemer. First time on the track, but they bumped from group 8 to 6 after two sessions. But the bad thing is that I didn't really know where are the ideal braking points, since the group 6 already went through all of that in the first two sessions... But following you around helped a lot! Too bad my bike had a weird engine runaway at session 4, have it get it tow back to the paddock. The problem mysteriously went away by itself after I got back to the paddock, but decided to call it a day since the bike is my only ride home. Will be coming back though, as soon as I sort it out.
No videos from me this weekend and not to many folks complaining about me either I wish Germany had a video camera on my when I doped off the curb outside of 4&5 and tore off into the unmowed grass .... saved it too.
Intermediate - either just before or after lunch up until the red flag. Please feel free to laugh at me for pegging the rev limiter on the first lap coming out of the chicane. Mattie - you are on here (I believe that's you) from 5:00 - 6:40 and we almost had a moment at 6:15. I anticipated the chance that you may come back over quickly and was able to back out easy enough.
Is it obnoxiously loud? I have done nothing to the bike exhaust related since I bought it last year. Has a Yoshi RS-5 but nothing else I am aware of - doesn't mean nothing else has been done though. I am definitely not hauling at all...just trying to exit the track safely and quickly. Red flag came out right as I and another rider passed the pit entrence and I had a 4 mile haul into the pits. I definitely questioned whether or not I was suppsoed to pass the safety truck since I've never been in that situation before, but as someone who did Fire & Rescue for SCCA I assumed it was preferred to following them around. I even signaled the starter to confirm they wanted me to do the full lap.
So check this out. I think unless you saw me on track and were like "man that bike is obnoxious" - it may be the camera. I was asked by one of our clients to run Sony Action Cams this weekend to test them out and get some footage...it sounds much different to me than my GoPro from BFR a couple weeks ago. Both are mounted on my amazingly awesome skutr mount :thumb: Sony Action Cam - ACC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpWQtNRu11M GoPro Hero 3 - BFR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iuy90Mw2WSs Am I making this up or is there a big difference here?
Yep. Remember, the ambulance/crash truck often waits for everyone to exit before leaving to tend to a fallen rider/bike so GET THE EFF OFF TRACK!!! :wheel:
