I think it was the primer R6 in front of him in pit at the start of the video. That guy was stupid loud.
Yes! Red flag on Monday during A group and about 6 guys go to about 40 mph the whole time. I flew by them signalling to MOVE FORWARD and get off the track. I was always told to go at about 70% pace and get off as soon as possible.
I'd also like to know if anyone has novice class 1 vid. I was on the black R6 with black and silver leathers with the green and yellow on the side of my bike. I'd also like to see some video
It's probably the connection with STOP. If I see yellow I don't really hesitate or slow down that much, red..my instinct thinks 1) stop/slow down or 2) we'll be coming up on a mess on the track. I know neither are going to be the case but when the adrenaline is pumping and the senses are high gear, and you see RED...brain has to process everything. Safest thing off the top of the head is to slow down. I will say, if I'm behind a group and a red comes out it makes it easy because I just follow them.
Now that I tried to remember. I think only one rider has a GoPro mounted on the top of her helmet. She was in group 8 with me on the Buell Blast.
Here is the last A session on Sunday. Too much brakes, not enough gas http://youtu.be/mPWMohoJ4hk Testing out my new Drift ghost hd camera, I need to adjust the mic sensibility, bad sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Awesome vid! That's me at the 5:10 mark. Thanks for following me for a bit. I struggled with the line the first session, but changed the front PSI before the 2nd and was able to put the bike where I wanted
I get what your saying but the way I see it is if there is a red flag the session is being stoped becuase someone in in an impact zone therefore you must be cautious. By no means should you proceed at a snails pace but definately get your hand up and slow down. If I see 2-3 (or more) riders in front of me who have slowed and are looking to exit the track, there is no reason why I should FLY by them and signal anything, I would just keep pace with them... They know what red flag means which is why they were doing what they were doing.. Flying by them only got you off the track in front of them! Now if a rider was not expecting your flyby, there could be an accident waiting to happen there too... Just my opinion..
I understand your point, but that's what the waving red/yellow is for to warn us of someone or something being on the track at that corner. I still use caution when I enter the corners regardless, not trail braking or anything ridiculous, in case the corner worker is attending to the rider. Going 35-40 mph on the straights when you still have 3.5 miles to get off the track (in Monday's case) was just absurd. We need to get off the track so the ambulance and clean-up crew can get out and I think that can be safely done at a 60-70% pace, especially for Advanced riders. And just to clarify (not trying to sound argumentative either) I wasn't flying by the riders, I eased by them slightly faster signalling to move forward. If no one else was in front then I would continue my slowed pace.
A red flag does not mean stop. It means the session is unexpectedly over and exit the track quickly and safely. Waiving yellow flags indicate you may be approaching an on track incident, not red.
Nice!....I wasn't there but here's some footage of me being followed and filmed by Jlankes at Mid-Ohio the weekend before that. I know Christi was out there representing. Was anyone else there?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVUuxvE_MzQ I'm in the white leathers and the white helmet with black stripe. Great 2 days!!
All good man:thumb: I was behind riders who were going slower than I would have given the situation (red flag) so I slowed my pace to theirs as we were about 4 corners from the exit, If I had kept up my pace I would have passed them but there was no point since we were close to the end and I decided to take caution. I would say we were doing 60-70ish mph
Sunday I group. Session 6. I don't even know if there was a 7th session because right at the end of this one was when the guy needed an ambulance ride. Ended up leaving around 4:15. Warning. Still pretty shakey even after youtube stabilizer...
Who has "Joker" on the back of their leathers that was riding I on Monday? I have a whole session of me behind you that will show perfectly where you can pick up a ton of time
