Cut me slack yo! This is my first time at grattan this year.


As for maps of tracks.... Ive been making Illustrator vector line art maps of all the tracks.

I have Road Atlanta, Road America, Jennings, Grattan, Autobahn, Barber and a bunch more.

I use write on them and it's nice to have a fresh PDF each time.

Speaking of Grattan...

what is a great laptime for a 600 to qualify for AMA at Grattan?
What is lap record for 600?
What is lap record for 1000?

 

AMA doesn't run at Grattan...so there is no qualifying there, I would think the fastest current AMA guys would be around .5 second faster...so you can calculate qualifying cutoff by that.

The fastest I've seen 600's is 1'18.39"

I think the overall 1000cc bike record is 1'17.44"

And you will REALLY need to be sliding those tires to hit those types of times!

 

This will be a great weekend. I recommend the best time to try to beat the track record will be the first session Saturday morning. The track will be perfect for sliding your tires. I love watching this kind of stuff. :twisted:

sure was fun to run it ccw..........oh yeah....that was at the end of saturday when i had to push my broken husky backwards on the track to the pits.


anyway...feeling productive right now (that'll hopefully soon pass) and sorting pics right now.

 

monte...can we work this into the novice curriculum? LOVE IT! everyone needs to know the proper technique for flipping off your rival after passing them. file it under proper passing etiquette.

 

this guy was THE MAN back in the day....still rolls pretty good on that two-smoker.

wonder how many times he's seen that view coming onto that straight....
