alright...done with saturday advanced and saturday pits.... my eyes are getting crossed from staring at this screen...i'm sure it has nothing to do with the petron. that's it for tonight....back at it tomorrow.
i'm not sure who left a longer mark on the straightaway... - this guy with his big oil slick on sunday? - or my 240' (yes i measured it) skid mark when i blew the motor on the husky and put a huge flat spot on my rear tire.
alright back at it... this poor guy's bike was doggy trackin by at least 6"....and i swore the thing was bending/moving like it was made out of springs and hinges.
The 16th was my second track day ever. Both were at Grattan ths year. Definitely one of the most exciting things I've done in my life. Can't wait for next year!
Longest mark My money is on the guys right behind the bike who left oil slick. According to them they could not see a thing because the smoke was so thick, so they had no idea if a bike, rider or anything was on the track or where. Think about their situation: their face shields, leathers, bike, brakes, tires are all saturated with oil and they have to assume the track maybe also. And you are 2/3 the way down the front straight, so how hard do you try to brake? I'm leaving marks just thinking about it.
