http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qdlAsChhFg&feature=youtu.be Second track day ever.. Please be nice.. lol
No worries. For your second day you are getting around good. I can't see what you are doing on the bike but I did hear you be a bit abrupt with the throttle. Smooth is your friend. You are not using all the track in a couple key places. The chicane & the left before the tunnel, you enter shallow and a little early. Some times it's because of traffic & then you pick up a bad habit. All in, for your second day, it looks like a good start. I won't have time for a few days but I will post something too.
My first time at Barber, 2nd day and I believe it was the 3rd session.
Is it just me or is Barber really wide compared to Grattan? Watching all the videos I won't need a track walk once I get to Barber LOL! Great vids keep em coming....vroom... vroom
It took me about 3 complete sessions before I really learned where I was going around the track. It was a ton of fun the entire time though...
My first ever two-up session at the track. Had my sis-in-law as pillion. This is just the first two laps where I'm getting the hang of having a passenger after six years or so of not having one. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had a passenger and have enough fingers left over for a proper salute. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1livi-1Qog0
My first time at Barber I had a blast, Thanks again STT. I think this is session 4 from saturday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_61sIflLHA

This was my absolute first lap without following an instructor on my absolute first day on a track. So I guess session 3 (the clock is off by an hour on the dash)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWlyPa_kN9Q&hd=1 I realized from watching my videos from the day that I'm going slow as hell, I'm in the absolute wrong rev range most of the time but the smooth is coming pretty well.
Chris, I was going to pay you a bigger set of compliments in my overall writeup thread that I'm going to do later - but since you're here: THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP! I know it's probably not as fun to have the novice guys follow you around most of the day and ask a million questions, but your good attitude, your willingness to help, your wisdom (some might venture to say 'sage') and just general kick-assed-ness made for a wonderful day and made me a million times more comfortable throughout the day. I am solidly addicted to this and have no question that I'll be spending every extra dollar I have on either my bike or on next track sessions.
You were a great student, asking questions is the best way to learn. I love when people ask questions. I want you guys to feel comfortable out there, it's just a big road where the traffic flows one direction. I love doing what I do, and seeing you guys happy at the end of the day is what I do it for! :thumb:
Was that you passing the group going into 2? I hope I can get the rest of the vid; she really got into it after a while and we were able to pick up the pace.
