If it was me, I'd go out on the 002's. You have scrubbed them in right? The deeper the tread the better for the wet. Now the point of which the bike wants to fall in is different.
I just put on a set of 002RS myself so it will be an interesting day getting used to them. If you are worried about scrubbing them you can take some fine sand paper and rub them real quick to get the shine off. I'd try 1000 or higher (just a guess since all I have is 2000 lying around). With a very good zoom. some guy #2 I'm going to setup (if I can) in the same spot as last time. You getting any better at popping the tires back on? Takes me sometime to get them off but I can get one back on before my compressor is charged.
