i have the vertigo corsa's, the vortex peg ate through them pretty quick, i ordered a new set of soles off of motorcyclesuperstore.com (only place that had them) and for $45 i've had the same set on there for almost two years no problem

So is two years normal? About how many track days did you do in that time?

I wonder what others get from theirs.

Mine were pretty inexpensive, although I got a good deal, but I do not have a way to buy new soles for $45. If the norm is they will last only 2 yrs, then an easy to get replaceable sole is an important consideration.

i've got 30 plus days on the track on my current set, the set that were on the boot originally didn't last long at all, the replacement set has lasted alot longer.

the soles were $22 shipped & the cobbler was $23

I found some Titanium boot insoles at a shoe/boot repair shop that construction workers use to keep nails out of their feet. I ride a lot so the soles of my boots still wear out & have to be replaced occassionally, but I don't get the dents in the inner sole anymore.

My Sidi's (Vertigo Air) did the exact same thing, but I've got 2 years riding on them. Thanks for the resole link I will send them out to be fixed!

P.S. REALLY Like the Astars Supertech R boot. the hinges/cables from my Sidis would hang in my rearsets (Vortex) at really 'inappropriate' times; There nothing to hang on these boots....

I just got a pair of TCX's RS2. Got some 300 miles on them Saturday, twisties, highway etc. They have a solid feel and were very comfortable. Will test them better at Putnam this upcoming weekend and will update if anyone cares. They were slightly cheaper then the competitors but I have medium wide feet, Sidi in general and A* TechR are a bit narrow for me.

Nice suggestion. I am not far from South Lyon, where did you find these?

    ^^^ what Velox said
For what it's worth, I have Sidi Cobra Air, 1k street miles & 7 track days. No issues at all.

I am happy to report that I had much better customer service from Teknic. I purchased my boots just under a year ago. My full replacement Chicane boots arrived at my door with no fuss.

It was a few years ago, so I don't remember exactly, but I think it was a place on the West side of Van Dyke somewhere not too far North of 696. I'll see if the friend that told me about it remembers...

The boot liners are called M Pro Rhino-Tuff Safety Insoles.

I picked them up several years ago at
    Footwear Footcare
    28743 Ryan Rd.
    Sterling Heights, MI

You can also find them on eBay occassionally...

(Turns out they're stainless steel rather than titanium, but they still get the job done.)
