This will be my 2nd time away from Barbers and looking forward to it. Will ride both days so looking forward to meeting some new folks. Question though what does evryone wear under their leathers to stay warm thats not bulky and wont bunch up when putting the leathers on and taking off, also that is nice on the pockets.

I wear a golf windshirt over top of my leathers. UA ColdGear underneath leathers.

Not meaning to sound like an airhead here but you were the golf wind shirt while on or off the track.

yep I ran RA last year, and we are running about 6 degrees cooler. Last year was around 38 low and 59 high. This year, at least Sunday looks like 32 low and 51 High. Saturday looks like a clone of last year 38 / 59. At least on Sunday most of the sessions are in the afternoon, so you primarily ride during the warm time.

and while I agree RA is awesome, I will take except to "perfect" weather. while nice and sunny, I would prefer 50 low and 67 high, but that is just me :)

I am old (although not as old as Vern Lux) and my Vanson suit is so perforated well in the mornings it is a bit chilly. Wear the windshirt if I need it and it comes off after a couple sessions. :D

A little chill is better than liquid sunshine... for me... on that track anyway.

I'm going to run the Power Cups 'A' compound and hope the warmers will keep my rubbers warm... and hoping the Georgia sunshine will bring the asphalt up enough.

I'm confident enough in my (old) manhood to just put a windbreaker on over the leathers for the morning sessions, when they're that cool. And as with non-race track days, as the temps come up, so will the speeds. (Pin it to win it in the afternoon?)

I think they say 64 - 68 tomorrow afternoon. 60 by Noon then rising to 68 and back down to 60 by 5pm. Could not be a better day for November :)

Great first event with STT, great group in advanced, hope i didn't get too much in the way on my SV ( and in the 2nd session on the 1199 on new, cold and over-pressurized tires)

Does anyone have a significant other with a camera who took pix of the last beginner session saturday? I took my wife 2up on the panigale (black, with yellow plate #218) and ended up lifting the front quite a bit (accidentally)... Any chance someone hat tis captured? I saw a lady with a DSLR focused on us at the pit wall...

    Thanks!

Jeffrey, kudos for coming out despite your cold, Kurt, thanks for holding the spot!

thanks to Matt (novice group 3) we had a great time. lots of good advice and instructions. I had not ridden much this season (job loss) but this was an incredible event to end on. sort of like getting a hole in one on the 18th green after shooting a 95 :) makes you still want to come back for more next season. I think Trevor has more power than he admits too. you have all these people thinking they will sell their bike over the winter and take up basket weaving, then we have a day like yesterday and they are like "man I cannot wait until next season" That would be just like Trevor :)

What a great weekend.... Thanks everyone for coming out and having fun... It was a bit brisk in the Pits in the AM but other than that Blue Ribbon weather for sure both days.. Minimal flags and everyone rode with their heads on.. Had a blast in A and now have second thoughts once again on selling the 1000..lol Thanks go out to everyone that helped with the crash truck and handed off the radio so I could ride...Derrick Cantrell thanks for the bunk, Dave Brooks thanks for the QS4 adjustment, Ben Ledford thanks for being yourself, and Mike Burns you will always be my damned rabbit to chase... it was great pitting and riding with you guys... Lots of fun...I think we were the Old Guy Pits for sure...Lets do it again soon...

one more question to Trevor, do we HAVE to wait until after Jennings to start asking about 2015 schedule, or can we start being obnoxious now :)
(Please note the smiley face BEFORE you pull my STT membership)
