Can't wait to see my STT friends at Road Atlanta in a few days. :woot: It looks like with the end of Daylight Savings Time, we'll be getting pretty close to dark in Saturday's last session? And we'll be down a session on Sunday, since darkness won't allow us those 5pm sessions that account for quiet hours? I love the chance to ride one more southern event in November... I just wish we could push DST back a couple of weeks.
When we did this event last year, on Saturday we were able to comfortable ride till 5pm on Saturday. With the Sunday 2hr quiet time (such a bummer) I adjust sessions in the afternoon to fit the available light. Usually we end around 5:20-5:30. We are going to have a great turnout for this event - thank you to everyone for supporting Sportbike Track Time!!!! I might bring the Duc and put around for a bit. t
Road Atlanta = Fun I have a couple newbies looking to come and see what this Track stuff is all about!!
Will be my first time there on Saturday! I've been to Barber so much now, I figured it was time to branch out the stretch the 1K's legs
I am seriously looking forward to it as well. This will be my second time. I regret waiting on a response from the wife on Sunday and found myself on the outside looking in. If one day is all i get i will enjoy it with a big grin eace:
Barbers facilities are the only thing that barber has on road a. Barber is beautiful. Road a is absolutely amazing to ride on. And road a facilities aren't that bad. Just barber is nicer.
I felt the same way but August was my first time and I was like man look at what I have been missing. Barbers is friendlier to those who dont have pit bikes or scooters to get around but RA is a blast to ride. Also its only 3hrs from my house and 1k friendly. Getting there Friday for a fun weekend.
Draik will be there on his new-to-him SV riding it for the first time. He raced a borrowed one at the GNF for the first time and did pretty well, so we'll see how much he can improve/learn on his.
Getting closer!! Can't wait to be there for the first time! So Saturday morning is going to be pretty durn cold. I have slicks on the bike right now and REALLY don't want to have to change to street tires (Q3's).. Will I be ok to run the slicks in the morning so long as I'm just enjoying the scenery?
I'll be there Saturday. It will also be my first TD away from Barber, so I'm excited to try something new!
