yeah we took care of curve he's riding with us, we had to see if 3 bikes could fit in the trailer.

I heard you ride advanced now, did I miss a year or something? I'll probably be pretty slow the first day. Lots of new stuff to break in, gear, new tires, etc. Heck I even have this thing called a lap timer, not sure how to use it, but hey 100$ was a steal. Now I can see just how slow I really am.

We plan on camping, however the wife said if it rains were hotel bound, I dont blame her last year on the july 4th we camped with our son at grattan and well, we all woke up wet and upset. I dont need a sick family.

I booked Great Lakes Inn and Suites through Expedia.com for $63/night.

It's a simple motel, but vastly better than wet and sick...

tikki, You didnt miss anything...triple the horsepower and then some. Have Ken at superbike Italia do the suspension on the 600 (great work by the way) and BINGO. Lap times drop like a rock, or shall I say like the stock market.... I got the nod to bump to advanced if I wanted but Im not there just yet.... I only have 1 day of tracktime on the 600 so Im not quite ready to make that leap just yet... So curves gona ride the whole weekend?? Killer!!! Sean and I are coming up EARLY sat morning, well be there to watch them open the gates. SEE YOU BOYS AT THE TRACK. Gota bail, gota go pull those tractor parts for CAT.

ahh cool, yeah I gotta get my suspension done this year for sure. maybe after this track day the fork oil is done. the only real issue for me is getting the bike held up I only have a front fork lift not a tirple tree lift and I have no way to suspend it in the garage no real supports up there for the weight. I've been thinking of just buying a triple tree lift so I can do it. Once the oil is switched Then I'll get it balanced out. I've been kicking the idea around of getting a 600 but the 929 is paid off and wrecked more than once and I pretty much quit riding on the streets, lack of time and idiot drivers, much safer at the track, I walked away last year.

I believe Curve is running advanced Sat. Not sure what on Sunday. Intrested to see how he does with the fast guys. I would think advanced is more about race craft than just out right speed, handling getting stuffed in corners etc. Im not so sure Im ready for advanced what I would like is someone to help me out with the lines again, I need a bit of some confidence after wrecking last year. I was full of it before I wrecked, that really humbled me.

You want us to save you a spot next to where we pit? Were planning top corner near turn1. PS bring off if your camping the bugs will be bad.

    BTW what did they charge?

Well you can follow sean and I in the first few sessions while we all try to figure out the new line in the track addition otherwise I got a good Idea of how to get around the rest of the track. I dont have to ride like a man possesed to keep pace with the 600. Follow me if you wana go fast, but not too fast. I know the feeling after you lay it down and Im not planning on doing it again so I ride at about 85%. You will be back in the swing of it in no time.
I think were gona try to grab some shade for the campsite, but save us a little room to park the bikes and what not inbetween sessions.
As far as the suspension goes It COST but it was worth it. Well talk more at the track.

I'll be there both days. This will be my first time at gingerman, and I'm hoping to get my first dry track day. I'll be riding my '03 gsxr 600 with the "McDonald's" paint job. Does gingerman have concessions at all?

I am here right now - pits are slowly filling in. Ill be running both days in Intermediate. I have not run Gingerman either. Ill be looking for a track coach early for a tow around the place. I walked the track and it seems massive compared to Grattan? It for sure alot flatter and more staights. The new corner looks very cool. Cant wait for the AM!

Overall I have to say this weekend was a great success! I think for the first time ever, Gingerman went a whole day without a red flag!!! The weather was perfect both days with the exception of the morning sessions when the fog rolled in and you couldnt see a damn thing.

Anyone want to post up their impressions of the new track layout?

The new section was fun. More of a left turn going in than I expected. Downhill entry into the off camber right. Uphill blind decreasing radius exit. Similar to the second to last turn at BeaveRun, but smaller/tighter & much less elevation change. Good times!

Are you the guy that lost the little key fob camera? If so, & you didn't get it back, Crash Truck Jake from STG ended up with it.

yep that was me but Jake came and found me, I cant believe the thing is intact I havent reviewed the video but if it kept recording it could be spectacular. I'll find out tonight. Im bummed I didnt get the fisheye lens for it before the track day.

Oh and the new section of the track really makes it alot better I enjoyed the straight, nice a smooth. The new corner was a real improvement.

Cool. Pretty good video quality, considering the size & price. What's it called & where did you get it?

I got it off ebay its called a key fob camera the brand is pinecomm its either an 808 or 606 they take a micro sd card up to 16 gigs and writes avi files. The battery is rechargeable through the usb and seems to last about 40 -60 min depending on movement in the screen, which also factors into file size. cheap and easy.

The new corner is bad ass! I dont know how you can say the new corner is off camber. Its flat and banked towards the inside of radius. Off camber would be banked away from the radius liek that evil corner at Grattan.

I was there both days and it was good time. I want to thank one of the coaches for spending a whole day with my buddies old lady helping her out. She was a nervous wreck. Only 700 miles on the street and her first track day. So the speeds were not the quickest.

It was my first time at Gingerman and I really liked that track.

Mainly on entry down the hill, especially on the inside. Flattens after the middle & comes back on camber up the hill.

T3 at Grattan is what I'd call way off camber, everywhere.
