I know it's kinda early but I thought this will give everyone time to talk smack before the two weekends there in June & July! I love the place and the people who run the show. I can't wait personally.......:rawk: because I always run pretty well there if it's dry. I'm interested to see how many BMW 1000R, ZX-10's & GSXR 1000's I can chase down on my little V-4 Aprilia. :wheel:
Road America looks amazing, I would love to go there.. Just might have to make it out there in July..
Oh, my bad.....Honda 1000's count too!! My last bike was a ZX-10R and it was pretty damn fast so I am curious how this V-4 compares. If you do manage to pass me on the straits just remember there is always a corner eventually. :thumb:
Always in for Road America. It's the reason I'm not defecting from CCS to WERA this year. Can't wait to stretch the 10's legs.
Road America is awesome! It really brings out the Literbikes. I'm kinda sad that my 1000 probably won't be running this summer but I'll still have wicked fun on the 750. The best part is that the paddock there is ENORMOUS! I have a 24' trailer and a van to pull it, so I often worry if there'll be room for my rig but at Road America, that's never a problem. Even when I brought my team there to race in the AMA, there was still room for us in the main paved paddock.
I'll be there for the July days with the S1000rr. Hoping to get the bump to intermediate then i'll sign up for both days.
It's all just fun a games. Don't want anybody's feelings hurt right? I started this thread to hopefully meet some of you online so I know who you are at the track days...... I tend to keep to myself and only get to know whomever I pit next to. It would be more fun if I can meet some of the other riders in my group. Just riding around passing people you don't know gets a little old after a while......:smokin:
That is what the after riding time is for. Always a party in the paddock when the track goes cold! Just listen for Perrone's hillbillly southern accent or K3 telling another story of how high he was in the air the last time he crashed, and you will find the center of the party. And don't worry, this group will let you know VERY clearly when you are about to get your feelings hurt! Just expect a lot of questions about how big your trailer is, or if you need help turning it around, or a "special" area coned off for you to park in. Stranger things have happened!! You will have plenty of fun then, because you will get passed by people you don't know also, that makes it fun. Those 600 guys are sneaky on the brakes..
I agree with you fastguy68. We are all brothers of two wheel speed here. I'm sure I speak for most of the forum members here, that we would like to get to know you personally as well. Hell, I'll even smack you on the butt as I pass you on the track!
By all means feel free to "smack my ass" just don't reach over and hit my "Kill Switch" ......that is IF YOU PASS ME! :thumb:
