I don't know about Elkhart Lake but just North of Green Bay (grew up there) they still have snow covering the ground.:sorry:
Not surprising.... Thats why its great to get out of the Southern Humidity In June and head up there....
It will probably be cooler than normal just because most of the Great Lakes are frozen over. And all it will take is a Easterly wind and it will feel like someone turned on the A/C! I'm bringing cold & warm weather gear this year in June.
Not a big deal, I have broken in 3-4 new bikes at the track. Every track I have been to has a waste oil disposal drum. I will usually run a session working up to 8-9k RPM, varying throttle and using alot of engine braking. Then pit, change oil and filter. Then the next session I do the same thing, but hit redline before I pit. Then change oil and filter again. Then I ride the rest of the weekend like normal. Never had any issues. Did my R1 like that and it now has like 12k miles on it, 9k of which are on the track.
I'm in for the JUL dates. Bringing up a few others as well. Was there last year and had a blast! May need to rethink gearing though.
Hey Perrone...I assume you're doing Motor Home? I live 40 minutes away, just in case you or some of your posse need shelter......:welcome:
Might be in for this one. Anyone know what the pet policy is for track days? Getting conflicting stories on the interwebs. Some say permission is required from Road America. Others say a leashed pet is fine. Not sure if, and don't believe that, track days qualify as "spectator event" but pets aren't allowed in the paddock during those.
Sat and Sun AMA Weeklend there is Supermoto goin gon at the same time as the Road Racing... Look for the trophy on Billboard hill... thats us...
I'll be happy to get my bodywork and rear sets installed by the June dates! Either way I will be there for both events.....:wheel:
