Trevor, I could race a pregnant woman and finish 3rd. I will rely on you to convert the math from metric to US.
You and teamneon were two of the, ahem, "standouts" that were moving substantially faster than the group as a whole.... nice riding. There were a few other speedy ones as well.... t
Great. That means if I race the pregnant woman I don't even get on the podium. The bigger question is, who got her pregnant? t
Last year in Int, I ran 1:56's and I was in bottom 1/3 of the Int riders. Barber seems to attrack a faster group of Int riders then I see at tracks up north. Because the facility is so great, I think it just attracks more "serious" riders from around the country. Take care and ride safe, Brian
Kev, you were hauling the mail and one of the fastest out there in I; you really need to move up. BTW, i left you a link on GCSR that showed your crash in about 30 photos.... I thought average was in the mid 1:50's, with a few a lot faster...
You were flighing to man, and charie wasn't a slow poke either. I tpurchased the fairings a grand whoo right out the door. Got to find forks now, and a subframe. Then I'm gona have some conversation with Ken at superbikes about a rear shock
Re: I times let's hook up next time. My averages were about the same. I think riding beside someone would make me ride better. YES all you CRs, I am talking about my old fat ass getting off the bike finally and leaning forward . I am happy with of those lap times because it was the second time I've ridden my sportbike since I've put it together from boxes. EDIT: here's one of my videos that would fit on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZNAAyXFNks -Joe
my bike still matches my leathers didnt u see me!? im pretty i didnt pass u much if any...i do remember being behind you quite a few times.
Did I see an NAS Meridian sticker on your truck? Not to be nosy, but the wings license plates kind of grab my eye. I'm enjoying this strange new concept called "shore duty" at NAS Pensacola. I even wrapped a box of tissues with a pink piece of paper and labeled it "dream sponges" after a string of criers showed up for counseling. If that wasn't you with the NAS Meridian sticker, you more than likely have no idea what I'm talking about, and I apologize. /threadjack (can I jack my own thread?) Based on what I'm hearing, I think I'm going to sign up for intermediate and hit up Barber again at the end of April.
Me and Cam had a couple of pretty good runs sunday afternoon!!! i passed him in turn five and he said he missed a shift. i guess i believe him!!! lol I think Jimbo was to scared to come out and play with us!! lol My best was a 1.44.1 in the last session on sunday. And yes i was way outta shape... on saturday i could barely make it through a full session due to extreme arm pump!!! sunday was alot better tho!!1
I'm considering 'I' next time. I finally broke the 2 min barrier on my SV650 which felt really good after Ken set it up. I'm in the low 59s and I think there is a 57 out there for me. My 'N' instructor thought I'd be good in 'I', any opinions based on the lap times? Obviously I'll be on the slow end of 'I' but I've been to trackdays with much more liberal passing rules so I have some experience getting blitzed  My hope is that in 'I' the more powerful bikes(more powerful than my SV=almost all of them) will simply ride away from me and I will rarely get held up. Thoughts, reactions, rebuttals? dunn
It's not like it was last year, you had it decked out full on Rizzla bike. IT looks like a new bike with not some much emphasis on the Rizzla scheme. I like the line down the middle thou. I hope I can get mine back together and be back in may. Maybe I see ya then!
If your coaches said your good to go then I would think you are good to go. Its hard to really compare where you are from a lap time perspective with the group as a whole when your on an underpowered bike (in comparrison to 90% of the other riders on 600's & 1k's) but I would think that sub 2 minutes consistently on an SV is plenty good enough for I group. A rider carrying equivalent corner speed on a 600 is proabably going to be (should be) what? 5? 6? 7? seconds a lap faster which would probably put you somewhere around mid-pack from a corner speed perspective.
I think you have got the wrong guy. I have never meet teamneon so I could be mistaken but I believe the guy you are referring too is from Chicago and he has an SV that is done up as a Rizla bike. He was at Barber in October last year, nice guy, but for the life of me I can not remember his name...Chris maybe...
