I would say it is not bad, is it perfect...no but it's pretty good. Areas of focus for me would be T1 (add a gavel run off in the far back of that area) T5 has some airfence but could be extended a bit more and barriers moved back futher), T7 more run off/air fence. My favorite turns are T1, T3, T5, T6 & T7... Almoste the whole track
A fair amount of additional air fence has been added the last two years, but yeah, like any track, crashing can hurt. I think the bigger problem there is some of the "razor" curbing they have added to keep cars from "cheating"....... I do not like those nasty curbs I do not like those big sharp blurbs I cannot fathom ample reason I dont look forward to next season Should I crash and hit one, theres something certain Ill be at Rockford behind a curtain!
Razor curb??? do you mean the gator curbs? they present no more safety issue than anything else. As you can see from my sig I'm a fan of BHF. it is not perfect but no track is. The car guys want some things and they are usually counter productive to bike safety. But car guys pay a lot more... As for STT and BHF, they have run there before and I don't know any reason they wouldn't again if things fit schedule wise.
Your talking about my Quesadilla's..... I used to grill in the AM all the time for bfast but now I just do the Powerbars and yogurt thing... Must be getting old... Oh The hell with it... I will bring it all up in 2014.... Nothing like Ribeyes and Jalapenos to start the day off!...
Tell me that after someone loses a motor in front of you in 6, you fall and hit the "gator" curbs while youre sliding....... Youll call them "razor" curbs after that!!!!!:jester: PS, theyll DESTROY your bike too!
don't know what would be worse, hitting the razor curb or heading over the bike launch ass first again.. LOL
If it were that easy they would do it, esp in 5, but unfortunately its not, i think they will eventually get there but it costs quite a bit of $$ to do that, they did a good job on turn 2 last year, thats always my biggest concern
If anyone is interested, there is a track weekend at Hallett 11-9, 11-10. Not STT, but a fun track. Good run off, elevation changes, tight and fun. Not the smoothest surface, but still fun. Free paddocks, cheap track day. This time of year, the number of people will be low. If 30 sign up by Wednesday, it's on. Temps will be cool in the morning, but highs in the 60's.
LOL... I have wanted to do BHF... I guess I will never be able to do a weekend event without bringing my smoker. 4 slabs of ribs and 2 chickens last time... Might have to do more with all this talk, going to have a huge line. :thumb:
