A couple notes for this event: Advance riders - aside from the usual DiSalvo Speed Academy instructors on site, I'm pleased to announce we'll also have Elena Myers with us again, as well as Kenny Riedmann, Chris Ulrich, Benny Solis, Melissa Paris, and Dane Westby. If you're an advance rider and want to ride (and be passed by) some great riders, this would be a great event to attend. Gates open approx 6:00pm Friday night and stay open til 9:00pm, if you make it in by 9:00pm you can then come 24/7, if you don't make it by 9:00pm gates re-open Sat at 7:00am-9:00pm and Sun 7:00am-5:00pm. Barber is in the Central Time Zone. There is a $5.00 gate fee for all persons 16 years or older entering a Sportbike Track Time event. BRING SOME CASH WITH YOU. We ride R*** or shine, please come prepared for Southern rain showers. You must walk to the Porsche building, pay your gate fee and get your armband before you can get into the paddock. If you arrive early please park where the gate guard directs you to park. No drinking of beer or alcohol allowed in parking area's and no changing bike oil in parking area's. Please note that Sportbike Track Time is the ONLY organization that Barber allows to "stage" in the museum parking lot... we want to keep it that way! No glass bottles are allowed in the Barber paddock. Camping is available and you pay the track for that. Electric is available in the lower pits against the fence and in the upper pits in both sides and you have to pay the track for that, it's cheaper if you split it with your neighbors. Tire service will be open Friday night 7:00pm-9:00pm to help you out. Then 7am to 7pm Sat and 7am-3pm Sun. We can now remove and replace your wheels for you if you do not want to get greasy. As usual, we will have our awesome prices on all the Michelin tires. Superbike Suspension will be here to fine tune your suspension. Sign-up opens 7am both days and closes at 10:30am for the day. Please be on time. We will also have signup open for an hour or so Friday evening, if you want to get that out of the way and done, it's one less thing to do in the morning. Tech opens 7am and closes 10:30am both Saturday and Sunday. Mandatory riders meeting 8:20am both days, Intermediate riders are first on track at 9am. Sorry to say, pets are NOT allowed at Barber. Showers are available on the second and third levels. Race gas and street gas is available on second level, credit cards only. Please keep your area clean and do not leave any race gas cans or tires when you leave. We must be out of the paddock by 7:00pm Sunday night. Any questions, please post up here.
Im gonna do something I have never done before.... I'm going out to eat.... No cooking this weekend...
is it weird that i heard trevor's rider's meeting voice when i read this? ok serious question. i rode novice for Tally (season's first track day for me). i know that I need to "test out" of N group, but when i go to buy time it says that Intermediate is available to me as well as novice. i rode quite a bit of Intermediate last year. So my question is do i need to order novice first day and intermediate second day so i can bump up? please answer ASAP as everyone knows these spots go fast! Thanks
You have ridden Intermediate prior so you do not actually need to "test out" of N... It would just be up to you if you wanted to run Novice the 1st day and then bump to I on day 2 :thumb:
awesome, i also just asked a coach and he said that i may be able to ride the first session w N just to get track layout. I haven't been to barber yet. I def want to do "I" because I was passing everyone in N last time. Not that I'm a badass, just would like a little faster pace.
Hey can anyone bring a good Batttery Charger to Barber? Not a Tender or trickle charger but a Good Charger...Mine went to crap and I need to put a 19 Hour charge on 2 Brand new 12V Batterys .. Any help would be appreciatted... Marc
Nolan will be there from Indy. Looking forward to another great time. I think I still have some cup cakes from his 12 birthday party from the Barber day in March if anyone wants one. they might be hockey pucks by now.
That's the same ones he was trying to give away at Tally also. They should be hard enough by now to use as a trailer wheel chock. :lmao:
