You could ride the first session in N, or... just get with a coach in the first I session and take it easy. I make a point that the first session (for ALL groups) should be a relaxed pace. Either way, we'll make it happen. t
I think Trevor's right (and no I'm not sucking up). You ridden N before at another track...IMHO, the first laps of N will pretty much be parade laps and you will be stuck frustrated. You could follow a coach out in I (no passing 1st lap anyway) and he'll show you the line. A few laps and you'll be good to go.
It is our 3rd weekend there this year... Not to mention trailing a Race weekend there...Also they are now starting to actualy ride North of the Mason Dixon line now...
Yup, typical with the 3rd Barber of the year.... everyone gets pumped up for March and April, and then after that Barber is old hat. Saturday Novice and Intermediate are sold out, Sunday Intermediate only had a couple spots left last time I looked. Advance is close to full both days... we might end up with a couple empty spots both days, but to be honest, with all the AMA dudes (and girls) we'll have there, I'm fine with that. t
Interstate 12v.. Brand new... 1 mixed already and 1 still in the box... Manual said 19 hours.. I said the same thing but it's like 2 regular Mc batteries...
19 hours on trickle charge will come close to getting my RV house batteries back up, I think they are on crack
A trickle won't charge a new battery if you mixed the acid with it... Needs at least 6amps or more... :thumb:
Question: It looks like Barber is off exit 140 of I20........ Does anyone know of any decent hotels at that exit that they would recommend??????
Their is a Hampton Inn right there. Nice and they have a Sportbike Track Time rate if you call them. 205-702-4141
Wifi is available. Password zo2013om Keep in mind I–20 is closed from birmingham almost all the way to the barber exit. Eastbound side only. Traffic is bad Friday afternoon through town.
Is it closed as in CLOSED or just diverted to the westbound side???? Just talked to the Hampton Inn and they said US Hwy 78 will have to be used instead of I20 eastbound..... Just looked at Mapquest and I don't see a US Hwy 78 lol
Thanx Marc...I found hwy 78. Now question is where is it best to catch it??? Is I-20 E completely closed off from downtown B'ham all the way out to Barber exit? Are they not going to divert traffic onto hwy 78..which would then make it a parking lot. I was considering taking I-59 E to I-459 S and back onto I-20 E.
