Sorry to hear about the mishap Mark. I'm sure you heal as fast as you ride. Wishing you a speedy recovery from the frozen tundra.
Update I left home about 10:30pm CT and Ice Skated through Chattanooga and got to Mark's house about 1am CT. We got Mark in the house, it was difficult since he could only put pressure on his left wrist as all other limbs were killing him but that guy is one tough dude!! He truly is my HERO!! I'll let him update when he feels like it, just got an email from Mark/Lois so he's already at it!! I got Matt and Nathan back to Alabama about 4:30am and I got home at 6am. Lois is going to have to keep a tight grip on him and not let him do too much too soon, it will be difficult but I know she can do it. Mark, Scott Wilcoxson and I just decided to switch to KTM Dirtbikes and they already have theirs and mine won't be in until February so I told Lois to tell Mark if he trys too much I'll come up there and get his and break it in for him!! I have a bad feeling about him doing too much because all he wanted us to do before we left was get the bike unloaded and his tools in the garage!! BIG Thanks to everyone who helped load the trailer and wrap everything up, if I missed someone sorry, Michael Dean, Jason, Ed, the Derricks and Trevor!! Huge thanks again for Matt and Nathan for bringing them home!! STT is my Family and ALWAYS will be. Rodney
Sorry to hear, heal fast! I guess the only good news is that you waited til the last event of the season to crash! That way you've got all winter to heal up!
Rodney, Thanks for the update! When I went to pick Mark and Lois up from the hospital I was amazed at his good spirits. You simply cannot knock this man down.... he is tougher than tough. Mark, after my get-off in April you gave me a lot of positive inspiration and helped me keep a good, positive attitude through the healing process. Thank you sir - I wish you a speedy recovery. t
All winter here is like a month and a half. Blessing and a curse in this instance. Mark, Get well soon. I came by just as the red flag came out, and saw you sitting up. I was so bummed to see you went down, scared for where you went down, but glad to see you sitting up at least. Made the entire lap under red thinking to myself "man that is fast, I hope he is ok.... " over and over. I could not get to pit road fast enough. Get well soon.
if anyone needs anything, im only an hour north in knoxville.. and i spend some time in cleveland with friends..
Re: Update well, i know anyone here would be willing to do it....but thanks from those of us that didn't/couldn't get mark and his stuff back to the homestead. {deep bow gaymoticon}
Mark, you work so hard year in and year out to make things run smoothly and make sure everyone has a good experience. It's greatly appreciated, and if there's anything any of us can do to help ya through this, you know we're here. Get better soon, man.
get well soon mark. at least you have plenty of time to heal up. lots of positive thoughts always helps the healing process. thoughts and prayers your way.
Get well soon, Boss! On the lighter side, as we were driving home in the ice and snow, me, Jake, and Bobby were having quite a chuckle with the thought of the conversation between Mark and the ER doctor. Dr..."so what happened here?" Mark..."I had a slight mishap on my motorcycle". Dr..."so did some one pull out in front of you?" Lois..." :roll: " Mark..."well not exactly". Lois..." :roll: " Dr...."well, why don't you tell me what happened". Lois..." :roll: :roll: :roll: " Mark..."well I was rolling about 100 plus thru turn 2..." Dr interupting..."where??" Mark...Turn 2 at Jennings GP" Dr..."you were at a race track??" Mark..."well...yeh". Dr..."How old are you???" Lois..." :roll: " Mark..."what does that have to do with it??" Dr..."I treat kids all the time, but I figured someone of you age would know better". Lois...(thinking)...oh no, here it cmes) Dr..."well you know you are too old to be doing this sort of stuff". Mark..."just shut up, put the cast on, and tell me how soon I can get back on the track!" Lois... :roll: :roll:
heal fast and get well mark and have a nice christmas--well as nice as you can anyways lol................wayne
That imaginary conversation was very similar to the ER doctor and my wife Peggy when she had her off at Nashville in 2008. I was relegated to the waiting room, since there were no broken bones or serious injuries, but when she came out, she filled me in on the conversation. Peggy was 56 at the time and riding in the Intermediate group. Tdub.........that was some pretty funny stuff!!
