I quit going to the ama races because it rains 9 time out of 10 that weekend. If they would just move it by one weekend like it was a few years back they would miss the rain.... who trusts the rain man this many days out ?
If the long cord doesn't work out, you can probably share my Yamaha 3000iSEB generator. I will be in twilkinson3's black F250 with 7x12 v-nose gray trailer. Tan easy-up, blue Yamaha R1 (.46 numbers) and Black with Red CBR600RR. As stated above he will not be running so it will just be my bike on the warmers as Stacy won't be using warmers in Novice. We will be driving up Monday morning.
The AMA were actually pretty dry this year. It didn't start raining till about four Forecast says isolated 40% so that's not rain 60% I'd bet a couple of dollars on it
Forecast is down to 30% chance Sunday through Tuesday night, so it is going to rain in there somewhere, but hopefully it won't be on us but it probably will be. I might get a chance to try out my rain tires I bought last year, not that I really want to go 150mph+ in the rain.
i think it's funny (not) that the 10 day forecast has 8 out the next 10 days looking beautiful.... http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USWI0218
riding in the rain wasnt fun in june, wtf makes mother nature think its going to be fun in june?! :x either way, ill be there praying for sun...
I assume you guys are/went riding and it was not rescheduled or cancelled? 70% chance of rain tomorrow for my day
It poured just after lunch time. Track was great up untill then however.. ps- 5 gallons and a full tank IS NOT enough fuel. Elkhart lake is 2 miles north on 67 though, so fuel is readily available. 1/2 tank or more per session on the liter bike  pps- Was there any photographers there? Jig wasnt, was anyway else?
Do the groups still ride in the down-pour, or is there someway of re-gaining track time? (Never been to RA track day!)
The track was open during the downpour for those how dared, but few went out during that downpour. There were little rivers running through the paddock, so I assume there were also rivers running through the kettle bottoms as well. After the rain quit the track dried up pretty quick. The next to last Intermediate session was drying fast and the last session was almost completely dry with just a couple of easy to miss puddles.
