Tuesday weather was optimal. Overall - 7 or 8 downed bikes with the KTM dual-sport being the worst one I saw. ha.. i didnt tell my mom at my first track day.. i just showed em a video and after she said they seemed like they know what they are doing.. i said.. "SupRISE" RA was a blast for me on the 5th.. i skipped the HEavy rain session after lunch, but the one after that was good.. with my 636 stopwatch thingy.. i was getting times all over from :45 to 3 flat.. for some reason they were all over the place.. maybe my timer is acting up))
I did see a bunch of cameras with big lenses on them though.. i'd like to see pics as well! what was the deal with the front straight.. i heard in the pit everyone getting banned
Get yourself a mini xt man, or even a used one, they come up for sale on the wera forums all the time for decent prices. so much easier. The pit problems were due to people being on that outer wall (the wall between hot pit and racetrack). I think people werent watching thier kids and some were leaning over the wall and what not. All I know is i stayed well away from the wall because i knew there were people there.
I was more picking at me being rediculously inconsistent.. i was playing with my brakes alot that day trying to see how hard and far i can hold them.. i think i got it right a couple of times.. although.. i've been on the wera forums -constantly- lookin for parts and the timer is one of em!
Good to know!! My GPX said 128MPH max on the front straight, about 125MPH on the other 2 straights. You can hold it wide open in 5th in carousel and 1??? Damn, I was just starting to get the hang of one in 4th, braking about 3-4 marker and trying not to over brake and keep my speed up through the corner, I was running the carousel in 4th keeping it about 75 MPH, but I wasn't pushing traction at all... man it was fun passing intermediates with big bikes on the outside there I suck at 5/6 too!! It was really fun passing a group of novices in the two up session with my brother on the back of an FZ6... hope I didn't damage anyones ego, LOL. Chad

Nick - I would have done a session of 2 cameras had I known it was so beneficial. I'm the 1st track day rider who rented the green 42 leather.
Chad - for turn one...brake to get the pig to turn in and roll into the throttle in 5th - I was hitting the hooks around the 3 board on Sat and the 4 board on Sun (I was tired) and it still felt too early.... - she'll be wide open at exit and it's a hell of an experience, and yes you can fly thru the carosel in 5th, just short shift on entry and you have to feather the throttle slightly right in the middle and be ok with feeling the front end skip a little here and there lol, it does make for one hell of a workout braking for the bend tho hehe
