well i gotta say im extremely disappointed, but i appreciate you guys pushing til the end trying to get mmc on board. perhaps throughout the season you can work them over and convince them that motorcycles should be a part of their program for 2012.
Dave, it was great working with and getting to know you guys from Boston Moto! there's a possibility that I could be persuaded to bring the bbq rig up to Loudon this summer...
I must say as disappointed as I am to not run Monti (live in Albany) again, and not ride with STT, I'm totally impressed with what was going on behind the scenes. Racer's attitude to the end! Last lap, throwing it all out there for the win! Yup, ending up lowsiding, but it can be fixed, and ALMOST won the whole damn thing. How awesome would that have been? Thanks guys for trying. As time went on and they knew if it failed there would be no season, you know they had to be thinking what a crash and burn it was going to be. Huge balls, and everyone should appreciate that they didn't just accept that Monti was done for. I think "thanks for trying" is in order from all of us.
I could not agree any more than that mrbrettbaker When it comes to risk vs. reward Risk alot to get alot Risk a little to get a little Risk nothing to get nothing
First off I can speak from experience that it is no easy task to put a schedule together and applaud Dave's tireless efforts to make something happen. I know perhaps better than most the struggle it must have been, and we need / hope for more guys like Dave and co. involved... the industry is better off with him and STT in the game. We (I am one of the principals of Boston Moto) will be running 5 NHMS dates (wishful thinking on the 6th date there Dave) and would love to have anyone interested to come on up and ride with us. We have welcomed STT coaches in the past and I hope this continues on some level, as all are fantastic people dedicated to helping our sport. I will offer whatever support we can to help make 2012 a resounding success with STT East and sincerely hope to be back at the track with you guys in the future. Scott Lian scott@bostonmoto.com
Wow, I was really really hoping to ride MMC this year. To be honest, if they have some investors that dont want bikes on their track....F-CK EM'. I hope they encounter some finacial hardships and realize what they could have had with some trackdays in the mix. If not, oh well.....Liberty Bell Motorsports park outside of philly should be open next year. I guess NJMP with the other orgs will be my home this year.
I'm going to need that hug that was offered earlier... See you next year, guys. Thanks for trying. RNYC
Not sure if anybody thought of this, but I wonder if STT could have booked some trackdays if we offered to not use the entire track at MMC during our trackdays. Example, on a day we get the north config, they get south......we get south, they get north. That way, paying members of MMC would have some track available to them, as well as the financial bennefits of renting out the track to some track day orgs. Not sure if its a good one, but just and idea.....
Thanks for trying guys! monti was the next best thing to having a track in the back yard. Exclucivity is nice, but it don't pay the bills. I've a feeling we'll be back. In the mean time I plan on checking out the new pavment at Gratten. Callabogie is holding up well and is a fantastic ride. ...Never made it to Mid Ohio last year ... ....a clean run over the rise into turn 2 at Mosport ,down the hill, double apex, cross the outside corner of the 'crete. Guess I'm going to have to now. Yea,2011 is going to suck! Jeff
I understand your frustration but I disagree. I wish MMC much success. They were really great to us and open to letting us do things there we could not do elsewhere. Their hospitality was truly top notch. Thank you Arri, Matt and the rest of the MMC staff who enjoyed seeing our members out on two wheels. If things had turned out as we had hoped our members would have felt like GP stars enjoying a facility reserved for top dollar members only. I am sorry it did not work out so I wish them well and hope the lose talk of building a non member track across the road comes to light. to be continued.

At lunch members would he out on the track while we all drooled. Usually cars were on south when we were on north.
It wasn't really a revenue or track scheduling thing but more of a risk vs. reward thing from the owners/shareholders perspective.
