in order to cure some boredom.. what are your plans for the off season.. gear? bike upgrades? tow vehicles? trailers?? I know myself its going to be a repair on the bike, with a few add on's and replenishing my spare parts stock. I need to upgrade on gear & grab some new boots, along with gloves & a new helmet as mine is going on its 3rd season of use.
Gonna try and pick up at crewmax tundra to replace my Titan and may replace my 08 600rr with an already prepped R6
Just bought a race prepped 08 R6 so I can join your racing class next year. Will be keeping the GSXR 750 for coaching and track weekends. Refreshing the suspension on both bikes. Most important, I will be watching last years race/track day vids. This way I can dream about being on the track to get through winter and look at ways to improve.
Thanks Rick! I am really looking forwards to it. Maybe you can give me some tips for some of the changes and things to look for with the change. I am excited about being able to race more classes! Z isnt gone yet, and the bike isnt the reason I wanna sell it. I have put less than 500 miles on it this year, and less than 1k miles last year. I love the car, but just dont have time to drive it. I think it has a total of 22k miles now. It sits in the garage all weekend while I am out at the track, and its only driven on nice days during the summer... I also want a truck and a toy hauler, and I can only have so many toys.
Off season is what keeps me fiending for track time & time to rebuild the budget for tires & track time I welcome the off season, if I rode year round I'd get burnt out.
Hahahahahahahaha!!!! off-sea·son [awf-see-zuhn, of-] noun 1. a time of year other than the regular or busiest one for race track riding 2. a time of year when northern region enthusiasts repair and replenish their vehicles and gear. It usually lasts around 6-7 months
It is that time you can watch bowl games and the superbowl but should be painting bodywork and cleaning the bike
All bikes are clean... Fresh Tires ect... I am woking on the Jets on the 125 Scooter in Preparation for the 2013 Road Atlanta Throwdown.... Lost the Airpod on it so the Jetting starts all over.... If you need help painting let me know...:thumb: Im already bored as Sin...
Try to minimize the down time. Riding this weekend at NCBike and then the first weekend in Feb at Jennings. Toss in a few dirt bike days with Ike at Art Dirt/20/20 Academy between to get by.
Mount and wire the GPX Pro on the track bike so I can learn how to brake less and throttle more. (Data analysis to prove my fears are unfounded.) Some farkles on the street Vstrom - GPS, heated gear connection, headlight modulator, etc. Lots of electrical work it seems. Plan next season's outings once the schedules are published, and then apply for appropriate vacation time. Try to get more gym time in to strengthen the core and legs. YCRS at Laguna. And a serious case of PBS (Parked bikes syndrome)
Gonna upgrade the SV as much as I can but still be SS legal ! Win the MCRA Amateur GT LT class this year since number 1champ got bumped to expert I am the man to beat !
my plan is to ride as much motorcross and sportbikes (as if it's the end of the world) in FL Im racing Homestead Dec 1st and 2nd then Jennings the next weekend. BRAAP Anyone have a TREK Fuel for sale?
