I have quite a few from Advanced over the 3 days. First time at ACC so I was off pace, but some of you ACC regulars may see yourselves blast past me. Hard to learn a new track each day.
Yea, thats the guy. Im glad to hear he is ok. I didnt see it happen, but i was 3 bikes behind it and caught the aftermath.
I'm uploading a few videos now, mostly of me just playing around with a few people. Also, is it just me, or was Turn 2 on the North course really hungry on Saturday? People were dropping like flies out there.
Got me twice. Kenny and K3 figured out that my bike was rebounding too much and when I was letting off the brakes, the bike would jump up and the front would slip out. Embarrassing as hell. Awful weekend for me.
These are some Intermediate videos from Saturday and Monday. On the North course chasing Juicebox and I believe a handful of other Road & Track Riders of Chicago are in the mix as well: On the full course when I was finally starting to get into the swing of things. I was behind the guy (I really apologize, but your name is escaping my memory at the moment!) on the KTM Supermoto for the second half of this, so I figured he might like to see it: And as a bonus, don't you love it when you apex JUUUUST right? Crashes aren't caused by the corner, but rather the individual attempting to make the corner, north course was money all weekend long, never a moment where I was worried about the track conditions, hell I think a few of us were in the :07's before lunch.
Heh, I guess it's hard to read tone in text form, I was just joking. You're definitely right about the track being fine, I just saw more people going down in that particular corner than anywhere else (including that two-bike crash). :07s are flying! Best I could swing on the lil' bike was an :18.
We need to work on your braking, if you'll be at ACC in september please stop by my pit area (Green Kawi #513) so we can talk about how to properly come onto and off of the brake lever, how you release the front brake is super important as you start going faster, regardless of whatever messed up suspension settings you have, you still have the ability to control the rebound upon brake release, and I think it's important we have a talk about it.
I was wondering if you had it out at ACC. I saw it on your bike at Putnam in July and the vids from that day look awesome. You need to take some pre-orders and market that thing!!! I think the cost would be worth the vids :woot:.
It was looked into but the intital cost is insane. About 5 brand new zx10's insane lol. Pm me and I can get you in touch with what to do.
Hey, That was my buddy Matt. Let me know when you have that video up please. He's OK, only broken collar bone
Man I wish I could have torn it up with you out there. By the time I saw that I spot for sale on monday, It was already like 9am and I was downtown. Thanks again for selling that saturday to me though. I got to hang out with Nicholas, Paul, and Bruce all day and had a great time on track. Great way to end my stay in Chicago. If you ever want to come down to Houston for a winter trackday, lemme know!
Yaaaaaaay :bounce: I'm so glad you shared this - that was THE MOST FUN SESSION of Saturday!! :first: I was THRILLED when I finally made the pass on Hans after T3 :woot: He made me work my butt off that session!!
Pete, you live in houston in the winter? I'm a Houston native born and raised! What tracks are good down there?
Glad you had a great time, I figured you needed one last hurrah! It would've been cool for you to be there Monday but ah well, I guess you just weren't meant to get sweet air off of the jump. Ooooooooh, THAT'S what you meant by saying your avatar was a crazy Transformer. For some reason my head was picturing a Transformers logo. Way to go brain. I had a blast the last few sessions. I'm glad things picked up as much as they did in the afternoon, it was great chatting with all of you guys!
