You didn't happen to get any video the session we went back and forth waving at each other after making passes, did you? ROFL that was hilarious. :lmao: Timmayy was behind us and watched the whole thing.
Well, I only got around to taking three videos and all on Sunday. The first two, the camera slowly fogs up through out the session and the third is 4:30 of the ribs being cooked :lmao:
If anyone has video of the Monday 9/1 Advanced session before lunch, please let me know. I was on the blue/black/white R6 that highsided on North, causing a red flag & ambulance. My collarbone is broken off at each side. Need some sort of souvenir to make me feel better!
Yes it was definitely a bad pass! I was right behind you he was behind me and I thought about going inside too, but figured better safe than sorry so I waited. I'm glad you both kept it on the rubber because I thought things were going to go downhill real quick if 2 bikes, and more importantly 2 fellow riders were going to come sliding across the race line. I've got a small piece of it on my GoPro I'll post up in a few when I get a chance. Here's to both you guys going home safely!:cheers:
Ha! I wish I was baller enough for a two city life. I actually just took a new job in Houston. I'll be making the move this month. The job is with an energy company so I'll likely live downtown. I'm thinking in the loop, or maybe over in montrose? There's definitely a few tracks down there! MSR Houston to the north of the city. COTA over in Austin, and Texas World Speedway up near Dallas(although the track condition there looks terrible). Lemme know if you're ever gonna be down there!
Haha, I knew I had it somewhere! Took me forever to find this because I kept looking for me waving my hand but it was actually out of the frame, yours wasn't though!
9/1 I group Session 5 Session 6 I'll upload session 4 tonight.
Definitely a close pass that could have gone pretty bad, but it didn't and the guy waved to apologize. As long as no one crashed I would be good with a wave, I certainly won't be butt hurt if the dude didn't stop by my trailer. But that's just me, I get nothing from complaining or whining about it.
Here's some of my enduro riding I have many more videos and will post'em up asap
Does anyone know why that other guy stopped on the track? He was right in the impact zone. Luckily everyone saw the downed rider in time to slow down, but i'd hate to think of what would happen if someone was going too fast and had to ditch into the weeds to avoid him, there by hitting the guy that was stopped.
Looks to me like he stopped because there was a guy down on the track. Maybe there was a different reason but it doesn't appear there was. It looks as though the CR that goes by is waving for him to get out of there. I know the first instinct is to stop and help, especially if the guy is laying on the track hurt. As you point out though, and as they constantly tell us in the morning meetings, stopping is only going to make things worse. Sometimes knowing better isn't enough to overcome our instincts! B
Wow, you're lucky you didn't end up on your noggin. So what happened here? In the first off road excursion I hear some tire squeal but it doesn't look like it was the front tire that locked up as the bars never move. Was it the rear tire? If so, that's a good lesson on why not to use your rear brake on the track. Regardless, I think you had time to still make the turn. I'm glad it turned out OK though. B
P.S. I'm very glad that you can admit your mistakes and have some fun with it. So many people try to blame everyone and everything but themselves.
Naww, personal preference thing. I've tried clutchless shifting on that bike, just felt awkward. If I changed the shifter direction I might feel different but I'm comfortable with the current setup.
