I didn't imply it, I said it. It's a fact, and if you choose not to accept it, or even be open to listening, then I won't insult you by trying to convince you.

With your last post, you once again hammered your point home, and pushed away a longtime customer that will no longer recommend STT to other riders.

Congrats you've made a successful start to your day.

    Peace.

Monty, shitty deal that the BMP weekend is a no go. but i need to get my track fix in and utilize those 2 vacation days i took off so i dont waste them. i emailed you as well as bonnie trying to get in on the grattan may 30, then mid ohio on june1. both advanced spots. a friend of mine also wants to get in on those same dates as well who booked the BMP weekend. we havent heard back about getting in on those dates, but figured you have a ton of emails to root thru.

    Lets be understanding

    SlingBlade,
I understand your frustration, I think we all are frustrated. This is the second day at BMP that I had cancelled too. Brian comes off a little strong through typing sometimes. But understanding that a lot is lost in translation and typing. Voice inflections etc are not picked up. (My assumption) I dont think Brian is trying to bust your balls or anything ( I dont know Brian but he seems passionate about his beliefs), he wants to clearly and concisely lay out the facts so we all know it really insnt anyones fault. We all want to ride but it truely isnt anyones fault and we are all bummed out, STT included (my assumption). Dont let this drive you away from a really fun org and people. Let cooler heads prevail and take a forum brake for a day or two, nothing is going to get settled or fixed here (the track isnt done and no one can ride). We all lost something by the cancellation, STT lost the most(money, time spent on this thread, frustration etc etc) All you and the rest of us riders really lost (or just got delayed) was a fun weekend with some great people. We all will get to ride BMP, and I hope you are one of the riders too, it just has to wait a little longer. I know I sound like a candy ass right now but STT and Trackdays are about as much fun as one man/woman can have without going to the illegal side of things....... Think about when we were kids and knew we were getting a really cool present (birthday, Christmas...) and let the anticipation build. Then go rip up the track when it does open and enjoy a really "safe" and top notch track. My disclaimer is, I do not work for STT and this is my peace pipe addition to a long and drawn out thread. Now we know there is a kart track close by, we can settle all this animosity (sp) on the kart track and shake hands afterwards. Stick with STT and dont let something no one can fix drive you away from so much fun and great people.

    Cease Fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone has to get the last word in or this thing will go on until we all die.

I honestly appeciate the passion everyone has shown in this thread but is is time to sent it to post heaven. I'm good with the venting too.. hell I do it sometimes as well. Please try to forgive the "other" guy if he offended you. These cyber battles are no-win affairs and it certainly isn't worth the hurt feelings to wage an e-war, me included. Can we play nice over the long weekend?

We're all good folks who share a common passion and I understand as much if not more than anyone the disappointment in having BMP events canceled. But ride it we will and I hope that you find the time to join us in the future.

Thanks for your patronage and for your time spent (and wasted!! LOL!!!!) here in this thread but lets move on if that's ok with you guys. If we all really want to continue to rip into each other we can start hostilities up again Tuesday at say.. 8AM EST, but lets take a weekend breather, ok?

haven't you been on the WERA board, or ohio-riders.net? that's what brian does

to his credit, he is consistently cantankerous. try not to take it personally.

    Re: Lets be understanding

    Appreciate the mediation here.

Just to be clear, I am not frustrated the that Bluegrass event was cancelled. As a Project Engineer, I am a well aware of the the harsh realities of a timeline schedule, and completely understand when things go pear-shaped.

What I am frustrated with is how it was handled by STT, and the subsequent treatment I received when I gave my respectful feedback.

Now to cap it off, I learn that I also had the priveledge of paying $35 in a non-refundable membership that I purchased solely for this event.

But, I do realize I'm small potatoes. I've only done 4-5 days with STT out of the last 30 or so trackdays, so it's really nothing lost to STT in the big picture.

Anyway, none of this really matters, as I expect this thread to vanish shortly.

    Cheers

resent my email with this in the subject line as directed. Thanks to you and Bonnie for the kind gesture and patience with us all. Customers are sometimes testy and frustrating, and you guys are doing a great job.

    .......... Thanks again.

i thought it was an appropriate choice for the sake of description and diplomacy.

wasn't aware there was such a section in Readers Digest, but i'll have to check that out.

    Guys (and gals),

Although I am by far not the top dog, and I have remained silent through out this entire BG thread, it's BEYOND time to say enough. I am locking this thread instead of deleting it. Why? Because deleting it only serves to generate the "see I am right" thought process, but locking it simply ends it.

Therefore, like a cop says on traffic crash "move along people. Nothing to see here."
